Digital Panopticon Update: The KIDS Act passed within the House and only 32 Republicans voted against it.
It includes almost a dozen bills (e.g. the Kids Online Safety Act) aimed at throttling online freedom.
- Age verification for using websites that host porn or other sexual content (this includes every social media platform)
- Age verification to send private messages
- Age verification to use in-game chats
- Most web/app features disabled by default unless age verified
- Restrictions on encrypted messaging
- Restrictions on AI chatbots
- Government-directed moderation / restriction of lawful speech
- etc.
As I said, while the digital ID agenda has bipartisan support in America, it is primarily pushed by myopic GOP tradcuck retards who either don't understand or don't care that they are playing directly in the hands of the left. These people are a plague.
