Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU) congratulates its recent graduates for achieving exceptional results in the latest Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). This year’s exam presented a formidable challenge, with a national passing ratio of just 12.4%—only 4,635 candidates successfully qualified out of the 37,448.
Against these steep statistics, our alumni from BSMU demonstrated remarkable academic resilience. 🦁 Among the success stories are Dr. Ravinder and Dr. Salman, who exemplified professional camaraderie throughout their medical education. A cooperation agreement has been signed between

The main goal of the partnership is to create comfortable conditions and new opportunities for foreign citizens choosing Bashkortostan for their medical education.
Key areas of cooperation:
📌Assistance in the education of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation, their professional development, and subsequent employment.
📌Sber will organize lectures, seminars, and masterclasses for international students on the proper use of banking products and services.
📌As a result of the partnership, a reliable mechanism for secure international money transfers will be established
The platform will automate the work of attracting international students, particularly from India, including document processing and adaptation in Russia.
Sber will consider the possibility of providing special service terms for students and university staff.

| 10 |  +3🧠 BSMU Students Represent University at NeuroSummer in Gomel 5.0
From June 29 to July 3, 2026, Gomel State Medical University hosted the V International Summer School "NeuroSummer in Gomel 5.0". Students and residents from Belarus, Russia, and other countries gathered to deepen their knowledge in neurology, master modern diagnostic techniques, and exchange experience with leading specialists.
Bashkir State Medical University was represented by resident Elvira Valitova and third-year student Bulat Khamidullin – both active researchers under Professor Leila Akhmadeeva. Over five intensive days, they attended lectures on neuroplasticity, pain syndromes, and neurodegenerative diseases, took part in hands-on workshops on ENMG, EEG, and TMS, and visited clinical sites and memorial complexes. The programme also included cultural events and the Independence Day celebrations.
The participants returned with new clinical insights, strong international connections, and fresh ideas for joint research projects with Belarusian colleagues.

📌 The University graduated and sent over 1,600 new specialists into their professional careers.
📌 This year's class stood out for its high activity—students demonstrated excellent results in science and sports, won Olympiads, and took part in the Russia‑Africa summits, the International Student Festival, and the "I am a Professional" Olympiad.
📌 Over 280 students from the University and the College received honors diplomas.
📌 The majority were target‑trained graduates, who would go on to work not only in Bashkortostan but across the entire country, from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka.
📌 For the first time in the university's history, the graduating class included students from Thailand and Zambia.

| 14 |  +5🤝 A meeting between BSMU students — citizens of Nigeria — and Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja (Abuja, Nigeria), took place within the walls of BSMU's 3rd building.
During the meeting, issues of education, adaptation of international students, opportunities for academic cooperation, and prospects for further interaction between the educational institutions were discussed.
Such meetings help strengthen international cooperation, develop educational ties, and create favorable conditions for international students studying at BSMU.

| 15 |  BSMU signed an agreement on developing cooperation in medical education and medical science with the University of Abuja (Nigeria).
📑The document envisions comprehensive cooperation across several areas. In addition to holding joint congresses and symposia, the universities will establish academic mobility programs for students, residents, and postgraduate students, as well as organize internships for teaching staff. The cooperation will be based on partnerships in research projects and joint work on scientific grants.
University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) is a leading public university in the capital of Nigeria, founded in 1988. A federal institution, it offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and distance learning programs in the fields of natural sciences, arts, management, education, law, engineering, and healthcare.
