| 4 |  +2BSMU students took part in the International Forum “Russia United Us in Friendship” 🌍
A large-scale International Forum “Russia United Us in Friendship,” organized by the Association of Foreign Students of Russia (AFS), was held in the Kaluga region at the Ethnomir ethnographic park-museum. The event brought together international students from different regions of the country to discuss current issues in media development, project activities, and intercultural communication.
As part of the forum, participants attended lectures from invited speakers who conducted workshops on grant writing, effective project defense, and modern trends in the media environment. An intellectual quiz was also held, where teams could test their knowledge and strengthen team spirit.
It is especially pleasing that our native Bashkortostan was worthily represented by students of Bashkir State Medical University and Ufa University of Science and Technology (UUST). The students demonstrated a high level of training, an active civic position, and the ability to work in a team.
We thank the AFS for the unique platform for development, exchange of experience, and strengthening friendly ties between students from different countries. BSMU is proud of its students and always supports their desire for new knowledge and projects! 🇷🇺❤️ | 292 |

Our flag hasn't always been blue-white-red. Throughout history, Russia has used various banners: from Old Russian battle standards to the black-yellow-white imperial flag. The modern tricolor was only definitively adopted in 1991.

5 students from 13 to 21 August 2026, spent nine beautiful days at Sanatorium Glukhovskaya for their summer hospital practice, guided by their wonderful curator, Nazarova Alfiya Idrisovna🩺
But these days turned out to be about much more than medicine. Along with their hospital practice, our students got the chance to experience everyday life here eating together, talking and laughing with local people, learning traditional crafts, dancing, sharing stories, and simply enjoying each other’s company. 🌾✨
What started as a hospital practice slowly became a little journey into the heart of the local culture. They came as students, but left with new friendships, warm memories, and moments they will carry with them for a long time.

| 9 |  +2👨⚕️🇮🇳 Future doctors from India completed an internship at Mesyagutovskaya Hospital.
Students from Bashkir State Medical University, who came to study in Russia from India, did their internship at Mesyagutovskaya Central District Hospital 🏥. The hospital's head doctor, Denis Borisovich Shafikov, met with them for a live Q&A session 🗣️. The students learned more about how the hospital works, asked their questions, and talked about what it means to be a doctor 💉.
The internship used a mentoring approach 👨🏫: experienced staff showed them around the departments, let them observe specialists at work, and let them do basic procedures under close supervision 🔬.
Besides professional experience, the guests also explored the nature and history of the Republic of Bashkortostan 🌿🏛️. Hospital union activists organized trips to Idrisovskaya Cave 🦇 and the historical memorial complex "Salavat Ere" in the UNESCO Geopark "Yangan-Tau" ⛰️🌍. | 385 |

Students of Bashkir State Medical University took part in the Summer Medical Camp in Языково from August 12 to 20. 🏥✨
A total of 19 students participated in the camp under the supervision of Чидуку Николас, laboratory assistant at the Cell Culture Laboratory. 🔬
The camp gave students an opportunity to step beyond the classroom, gain practical medical experience, and learn more about the work of healthcare professionals in a real clinical environment. 👨⚕️📚
It was also a wonderful opportunity to spend time together, explore the local surroundings, and create memorable experiences during the summer. 🌿🤝

From Nigeria to the Bashkir outback: how a BSMU graduate became the district's most sought-after doctor
When Akhmat Oval, a #БГМУМинздраваРоссии graduate from Nigeria, first appeared at the Burzyan Central District Hospital, patients were bewildered. A year and a half later – now locals patiently queue up for his appointments, and Akhmat greets them… in Bashkir!
"I came to Russia in 2016. I enrolled in Bashkir State Medical University. I studied there for six years, followed by a two-year residency. The decision to send me abroad to study was made by my father: he had friends who studied in Russia, and one of them became a traumatologist. They said it was safe here, so my father sent me here – even though I hadn't planned to study in Russia at all."
Now the doctor works a great deal, takes shifts, plays football, goes river rafting, and is learning the Bashkir language. And soon he will bring his fiancée Sofia from Nigeria to Burzyan – she is also a future medic.
Akhmat Oval's story is one of thousands of examples of successful training of international specialists at our University.

Научный руководитель НИЦЭМ им. Н. Ф. Гамалеи Александр Гинцбург сообщил о возможной регистрации вакцины «Имурон-ВАК» от рака мочевого пузыря в течение 12 месяцев.
Разработка проводится совместно с #БГМУМинздраваРоссии и Сеченовским университетом.
«В Башкирском государственном медицинском университете у академика Павлова Валентина Николаевича имеется самая представительная коллекция тканей рака мочевого пузыря. Мы на это ориентируемся, и это очень помогает и ускоряет нашу работу», - Александр Гинцбург.
Напомним, что в этом году наш Университет включили в перечень организаций, участвующих в создании Научно-технологического центра развития мРНК-технологий.
