This talk explores two classical algebraic constructions, localization and completion, from the perspectives of both rings and groups. After establishing their properties and the formal connections between them, we turn to their applications in algebraic topology. In particular, we will see how these constructions yield computable invariants that capture essential topological information.

Abstract: Modular forms are fundamental objects in number theory and played a pivotal role in the proof of Fermat's Last Theorem. This talk begins with Ramanujan’s identities and conjectures regarding the Delta function coefficients. We then introduce the modular group, its action on the upper half-plane, the foundational theory of modular forms, and Hecke operators. Finally, we demonstrate how Ramanujan’s identities naturally arise from Hecke theory and outline the connection between modular forms and the proof of Ramanujan’s conjectures.

Abstract: The statistical manifold was formally introduced by Shun-ichi Amari in the mid-1980s and, in particular, is a main field of study within information geometry. In this talk, we will begin with the basic concepts of statistical manifolds and submanifolds. Then we will discuss our main topic on the Chen-Ricci inequalities for statistical submanifolds and their applications to the study of doubly minimal and minimal statistical submanifolds with respect to the Levi-Civita connection.

Abstract: Air quality monitoring is essential for environmental health, but centralized approaches face challenges such as high communication costs, latency, and privacy risks. Single-modality models using only tabular or image data fail to fully capture complex pollution patterns. To address this, we propose a Multimodal Federated Learning framework that integrates tabular and visual data via a lightweight model (MobileNetV3Small + MLP), deployed on heterogeneous edge devices such as Raspberry Pi 5 and Jetson Orin Nano. The proposed approach improves prediction performances while ensuring privacy, scalability, and efficient edge deployment.
