Coming soon on Shfusa.org: Handcrafted Wall & Travel Altar – 9 Grid Design (Red Cedar) This handcrafted altar is built from red cedar harvested in South Dakota and designed to function as both a wall-mounted altar and a travel altar. The 9-square grid is meant to organize your practice, with each compartment holding a specific ritual item so everything remains in its place whether stored or in use. A removable steel plate slides out for easy cleaning and maintenance. The 9-square layout is the Sedian altar top, giving the piece both structure and meaning in its design. Dimensions & Weight: Overall: 14¾" tall × 14¾" wide × 4" deep Grid: 12" × 12" Each square on the grid: 3¾" × 3¾" Interior compartments: 4¼" × 4¼" × 2⅞" deep Weight: 12.14 lbs Pre-drilled mounting holes are included for secure wall placement.

Ørlǫg and Wyrd Many people mistake the fixed threads of their life for the way they choose to live. They confuse the rules of the existence with their own actions, but there’s a distinction between the structure and the becoming. If ǫrlǫg is the stone, wyrd is the water that flows over it. While ǫrlǫg is the "Original Law" etched into the universe, think of wyrd as how we experience the law in our lives; it’s the shape of becoming. The Norns do not just set the law, but they weave it into a pattern that moves through time. To understand wyrd is to understand that life is a process of arriving at your appointed hour. Wyrd is stronger, measuring mightier than any man’s thought. We don’t act to change the law - we act to fulfill the law. Our choices don't rewrite the thread, but they give the thread its hue. One who meets their fate with negativity creates a different pattern than the person who meets it with courage and honestly. Look at your life as a picture drawn in a coloring book. The lines are already there for you to follow, but it’s your actions that provide the color. You don't choose the lines, but you choose the colors, so the final picture is can be bright with honor or dark with excuses. Stand strong and give form to your fate through a disciplined mind and an unyielding heart. Never settle for mediocrity, but remember, effort is worth more than result. ~ Folcweard https://linktr.ee/TheFrithstead

Sacred Scandinavia ᛟ Join the Pagan Revivalist Show tomorrow at 1pm eastern as we welcome back Mark Puryear, Director of the Norrœna Society, discussing his uncovering of our Germanic Holy Land in Sacred Scandinavia! We will also be having a Q&A portion where you can talk to Mark directly! This is a show you won't want to miss, as Mr. Puryear goes over mountains of evidence to show where the Germanic Folk originated, and even pinpointing the exact beach Odin & his brothers formed our Folk! In our sacred legends, the Gods have walked, talked, acted & manifested in several real places in our world, and continue to do so. It would be a momentous achievement to uncover these sacred sites mentioned in our sacred legends, in order to walk where Odin once did so long ago. To show where exactly our relationship with our blessed Gods began, and to keep that place sacred going into the far future! Join us as we rediscover and uncover our Holy Land, from our Ancestors, by our Gods! Join us for Sacred Scandinavia!

DAY OF REMEMBRANCE FOR OLVIR On March 9th we honour the memory of Olvir of Egg, an Asatru martyr. Olvir lived in Norway during the time of King Olaf Haraldsson. Like many of his countrymen he remained true to the Gods of his ancestors, even after Olaf had declared christianity the law of the land. Olvir was, in fact, one of the leading proponents of the ancestral ways at that time. He was an organizer of the celebrations of the holy days and was most likely a priest of our holy Gods. At some point Olaf was informed that the ancestral Gods were still being honoured......upon hearing this he moved quickly against Olvir and the others who had been maintaining the old rites. Many were killed, some were driven from their homes.......Olvir was among those dead when all was said and done. And, to add insult to injury, Olaf confiscated all their lands and refused to pay any compensation for their murders. Over and over throughout history we have seen similar stories play out. Regular people, just wanting to be left alone and yet some "authority" decides that is not to be. Even into this day and age we see such things happening....... We see those wishing to practice the spirituality of their Ancestors labeled as hate mongers and bigots and outlawed from society. It really isn't much different than the decrees of Olaf all those years ago. The only real difference is we've changed a militant christianity for a militant political correctness; rather than face murder or torture we face the loss of jobs, friends, and family. Today though we have the lessons of the past to guide us and show us a positive way forward, a way through the minefield of modern society so that we can create a future for the next generations of Asatruar. Hail Olvir and all those like him throughout history. Bold men and women who stood against tyranny to preserve something "bigger" than themselves. Let their lessons be our guide now in this chaotic modern time. Hail Olvir! Gothi Blaine Qualls Raven Folk United ⚡ ravenfolkunited.org

To the men of the tribe, What does it mean to be a hero? Exactly what is the quality that certain men have that makes other people write stories of their deeds and sing their songs long after their deaths? Is that quality still being propagated amongst the people or has it somehow been bred out or stolen from us? To answer these questions, we must take a clear look at the men our ancestors called heroes. When doing so, we very often find that they are not just men, but often demigods or those born to the lineage of the divine ones. Sons of Ingui and Zeus and Lugh. Of Woden they had come, with blood blessed to be mighty. It is from these divine ancestors that they are said to derive their unique abilities and powers. Cú Chulainn, Sigi, the Ynglings, and Heracles; they all trace their lineage to the Gods, and by the Gods they are empowered. The fact is then, that with this blood one would be empowered with this quality and could also take on the divine qualities of their hero ancestors and have their own songs echoing in the halls of the folk long after their bones are dust. We still have this blood, and the Gods live in us yet. You, right now, who reads this has the power to take on the mantle of a hero for your people, because their blood flows through you. When faced by danger some men have a feeling in their chest that is the divine will of the ancestors and of the Gods. We need heroes, our people willing to fight against monsters unaided, and the call has gone out. When facing Grendel, the people needed Beowulf. When facing the dragon Fafnir, Sigurd answered the call. For this new monster, we need you. Time to be a hero. Join the warband. Steven, Dróttnari RFU ⚡ ravenfolkunited.org

Supper the Irminfolk Hof For years, the Irminfolk Odinist Community has hosted gatherings, rites, and seasonal observances, steadily building a committed and growing body of worshippers. As attendance increased and the need for consistency became clear, they took the next step and purchased a permanent Hof. Securing this space provides stability for religious services, education, and fellowship. It also brings ongoing responsibility. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Irminfolk Odinist Community is committed to maintaining the property in a responsible and sustainable manner. Donations go directly toward mortgage payments, insurance, utilities, property maintenance, and necessary improvements to keep the Hof operational year-round. Contributions may be tax-deductible as allowed by law. If you value the presence of a permanent sacred space and the work that has built it, please consider making a donation or supporting the Hof through the purchase of community merchandise.

Spring has long been marked with symbols of renewal, and the decorated egg became part of European seasonal folk art. These hand-painted ceramic eggs continue that tradition through careful craftsmanship and intentional design. The crystal work draws from Swarovski, known since 1895 for precision-cut stones that reflect light with clarity. Each stone is set by hand, adding depth and contrast to the painted surface. If you value skilled craftsmanship and seasonal art with character, take a look. They are distinctive pieces that stand out in any spring display. https://futhark.org/product/hand-painted-ceramic-egg-with-swarovski-stones/

Welcome PNW Wolfpack! Raven Folk United has been working diligently to create a community that unites our folk within a framework that allows for the uniqueness of individuals and kindreds while adhering to traditional values and standards at a larger organizational level. We have been growing steadily. We have adapted, improvised, and overcome challenges to benefit our community through strengthened foundational principles and learned customs. These structural elements inform us on direction, purpose, and action that will allow us to forge bonds with our wider heathen communities. We are proud and humbled to announce our newest alliance with the Pacific North West Wolfpack. Our organization has much to learn from theirs and cherishes their willingness to share in this heavy endeavor to revive a holy relationship with our Gods and Ancestors. Together we will succeed in growing a community to secure the bright and prosperous future of our families. ⚡ ravenfolkunited.org

The Mead of Poetry Myth: After the truce between the Æsir and Vanir, the gods created Kvasir, the wisest of beings. The dwarfs Fjalar and Galar killed him and brewed his blood with honey, creating a mead that grants poetic skill. The giant Suttungr took the mead and hid it within the mountain Hnitbjörg, guarded by his daughter Gunnlöð. Óðinn sought it out, bored into the mountain, won three draughts, and escaped in the form of an eagle while Suttungr pursued him. In Hávamál of the Poetic Edda, Óðinn speaks of winning the mead through risk and hardship. In Skáldskaparmál of the Prose Edda, the full account is preserved. This myth explains the origin of poetry itself and why inspired speech was regarded as something earned, guarded, and carried with responsibility. THE ROLE OF THE GOTHAR: ESTABLISHING A STANDARD What does it actually mean to be a Gothi? In preparation for Section 12 of my book, I examined every reference to goði, gyðja, and goðar in the lore to understand how the role was defined. What I found was not a casual title, but a serious responsibility rooted in law, ritual, education, and the ability to guide and counsel a community. If we are going to reclaim our Tradition, we must also reclaim the standards that come with leadership. In this chapter, I lay out the ten standards I was able to identify that the Gothar should be responsible for.
