| 3 | Whether or not Russia is using S-400s or some other “special system”, the lack of intel forewarning can mean only one of three things, all of them damning for Ukraine:
1. That Russian S-400s launched in ballistic mode are not detectable by the most advanced US space assets, which is precisely what Andriy Sybiha appears to imply in the earlier video.
2. US Patriot installations inside Kiev are incapable of detecting these missiles with their radars.
3. Russia is using some kind of new weapon that is not detectable to any of the above US systems.

| 5 |  💢 Britain’s only icebreaker breaks down as Royal Navy struggles to stay afloat
The Royal Navy’s sole ice patrol ship, HMS Protector, had to be towed back to Plymouth after suffering a double engine defect, leaving Britain without its only icebreaker, The Telegraph reported.
One Navy source called the situation a “catastrophic failure,” while another admitted the vessel was “a really important capability, not just for the Royal Navy but for the nation.”
And the timing could hardly be better for the irony. Britain continues talking up confrontation with Russia in the Arctic even as its one and only icebreaker cannot make it out of port. Russia, meanwhile, operates a fleet of more than 40 icebreakers.
The embarrassment comes after Britain’s First Sea Lord admitted earlier this year that the Navy was “not ready for war.” Both of its aircraft carriers have also suffered mechanical problems, while the deployment of the £1 billion destroyer HMS Dragon was previously delayed.

In East Germany’s socialist, centrally planned economy, there was no competition. The government decided exactly how many cars would be built, what they would look like, and how much they would cost. Because demand always vastly exceeded supply, the state could sell every Trabant it made, no matter how outdated or poorly assembled it was.
While the Western automotive industry was rapidly innovating with crumple zones, turbochargers, and electronic fuel injection, the East German state forced its citizens to pay upfront and wait 12 to 15 years for a car built around 1930s technology: a two-stroke engine. The Stasi (Secret Police) background checks were required just to get on the waiting list.
Because the waiting list was so agonizingly long, a bizarre economic phenomenon occurred: a used Trabant was worth more than a brand-new one. If you managed to get a new Trabant after 12 years, you could drive it off the lot and immediately sell it on the black market for up to twice its retail price. People paid a massive premium simply to skip the 12-year line.
When the Berlin Wall finally fell in 1989, East Germans flooded into West Germany, and thousands simply abandoned their Trabants by the side of the road, choosing to walk away from a symbol of 30 years of low-powered vehicles and economic stagnation. | 51 |

In 2024, Alice Weidel stated that she had always refused to use the Polish name, Głubczyce, of Leobschütz, the hometown of her father's family, in the current Opole Voivodeship.
