#Arafah 🌐The Pious Predecessors & Successors & Day of ‘Arafah!!! ‘Abd-Allāh ibn Mubārak رحمه الله said: “I entered upon Sufyān at-Thawri [may Allāh have mercy on him] on the evening of ‘Arafah whilst he was kneeling on his knees & his eyes shedding tears, he turned towards me and I said to him: ‘Do you know who the loser is today?’ He replied: ‘The one who thinks Allāh shall not forgive him!’” ● [لطائف المعارف ابن الجوزى ص ٣١٠] Post frm (@unitefordeen)

📘THINGS TO DO ON THE DAY OF ARAFAH 🔹 Keep a Fast - Fasting on this day expiates the sin of the two years i.e, previous and the following year 🔹Do Dhikr - Recite a lot of Tahlil Tahmid and Takbeer 🔹Seek forgiveness - There is no day upon which Allah frees more of His servants from the Hellfire than the day of Arafat 🔹 Make lots of duā, especially recite the specific dua of Arafah - Laa ilaaha ill-allaahu, waḥdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ‛alaa kulli shay’in qadeer 🔹 Recite Qur'an 🔹Give in Charity 🔹Increase in Voluntary Prayers(Nawafil) Post frm (@unitefordeen)

The virtues of the Day of Arafah: - It is the day on which the religion was perfected and Allah’s Favour was completed. In Al-Sahihayn it was reported from ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab رضي الله عنه that a Jewish man said to him, “O Amir al-Muminin, there is a verse in your Book which you recite; if it had come to us Jews, we would have taken that day as an ‘Eid (festival).” ‘Umar said, “Which verse?” He said: {This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.} [al-Maidah 5:3 – interpretation of the meaning]. ‘Umar said, “We know on which day and in which place that was revealed to the Prophet ﷺ. It was when he was standing in ‘Arafah on a Friday.”  - It is a day of ‘Eid for the people who are in that place. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Yawm ‘Arafah (the day of ‘Arafah), Yawm al-Nahr (the Day of Sacrafice ) and Ayyam al-Tashrīq (the 3 days following Yawm al-Nahr) are ‘Eid (festival) for us, the people of Islam. These are days of eating and drinking.” This was narrated by the authors of al-Sunan. It was reported that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab said: “It – i.e., the verse ‘This day I have perfected…’ was revealed on a Friday, the Day of ‘Arafah, both of which سبحان الله are ‘Eids for us.”  - It is a day by which Allah swore an oath. The Almighty cannot swear by anything except that which is mighty. Yawm ‘Arafah is the “witnessed day” mentioned in the verse (interpretation of the meaning): وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ “By the witnessing day [Friday] and by the witnessed day [the Day of ‘Arafah].” [al-Buruj 85:3] Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “The promised day is the Day of Resurrection, the witnessed day is the Day of ‘Arafah, and the witnessing day is Friday.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and classed as sahih by al-Albani)  It is the “odd” [i.e., odd-numbered, Witr] by which Allah swore in the verse (interpretation of the meaning): وَالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِ “And by the even and the odd” [al-Fajr 89:3]. Ibn 'Abbas said: “The even is the Day of al-Adha [i.e., 10th Dhu’l-Hijjah] and the odd is the Day of ‘Arafah [i.e., 9th Dhu’l-Hijjah].  - Fasting on this day is an expiation for two years Abu Qatadah رضي الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was asked about fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah. He said, “It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year.” Narrated by Muslim.  This (fasting) is mustahabb for those who are not on Hajj. In the case of the one who is on Hajj, it is not Sunnah for him to fast on the Day of ‘Arafah, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not fast on this day in ‘Arafah. It was narrated that he forbade fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah in ‘Arafah.

🗓️ 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 '𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐡 💎Sleep Early- Try as much as you can to sleep early with the intention of strengthening urself for worshipping Allāh ﷻ so that you may be rewarded during your sleep 💎Get up before Fajr for Suhoor as Allāh ﷻ & His angels send salutations on the ones who do Suhoor 💎Pray at least 4 Rakaat of Tahajjud & while you are in Sajdah ask Allāh ﷻ for the best in both this life & the next 💎 Spend some time (5-10. mins at least) making #Istighfar before Fajr, to be like the righteous whom Allah described as “seeking forgiveness before dawn.” 💎Pray Fajr, Sit in ur prayer place & do your morning adhkar. Make tasbeeh, tahleel, tahmeed, takbeer, Morning Adkar , Recitation of the Quran. 💎15 minutes after sunrise pray 2 - 4 Rakat of ishraq so that you may be receive the reward of the one who does Hajj and Umrah (The Prophet ﷺ said:“Whoever prays the Fajr prayer then sits in his place of prayer remembering Allah until sunrise, then prays two rakʿahs, shall be rewarded as if he had performed Hajj & ʿUmrah, with a reward that is complete, complete) 💎Then you can either spend the entire day in Dua and Dhikr if you have the energy to stay awake, or you can sleep for 1-2 hours while intending strengthening yourself for the worship of Allāh ﷻ 💎Pray Dhuhr and follow it with Tasbeeh and Takbeerat and read some Quran 📘- Make the best supplication of Arafah immensely : لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ 💎Pray Asr and follow it with Takbeerat & the Evening Adhkar - Read some Quran & then follow it with sincere humble Dua to Allāh ﷻ until Maghrib (sunset) & ask Allāh ﷻ to make you amongst those who are freed from the Fire 🌷General tips for Dua : Be in a state of Wudu, face the Qibla, be present, sincere & humble by heart, start with praising Allāh ﷻ & glorifying Him, thanking Him, seeking forgiveness, sending Salutations on the Prophet ﷺ, then making your duas while asking Him using His beautiful Names & attributes, make dua for the Dunya & Akhirah, then end similarly with sending salawat on the Prophet ﷺ & thanking Allāh ﷻ who has given you tawfeeq while being sure of Allah answering your prayers.(Make dua list in sha Allah) 💎 Break your fast with the Adhaan of Maghrib , & do not forget the Dua of the fasting person is not rejected. We ask Allah to give the best to both us and you in both lives and be pleased with us and accept from us NOTE: Try to give something in Sadaqah (charity) even if it is a small amount as charity takes away the anger of Allāh ﷻ & is a means of forgiveness of sins ( Abu Dharr narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said : "Your smiling in the face of your brother is charity, commanding good & forbidding evil is charity" 🔹Grade: Hasan Ref: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1956) 📘Post frm ( @unitefordeen)
