Performing wudū in the intense cold is one of the highest qualities of īmān.

“The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts.” (Qur'an 8:2) Sufyan ath-Thawri (رحمه الله) narrated that as-Suddi (رحمه الله) commented: “A man might be thinking of committing injustice or a sin. But he abstains when he is told, ‘Have Taqwa of Allah’, and his heart becomes fearful.” The quality of a true believer is that when Allah is mentioned, he feels a fear in his heart, and thus implements His orders and abstains from His prohibitions.

Abu Sulaymān ad-Dārānī رحمه الله said:
The real loser is the one who makes the rightness of his actions apparent to people, and shows the ugly actions to the One who is nearer to him than his jugular vein.

Imām Al Uthaymīn رحمه الله said: “Examine your heart my brother, does it have Riyā (showing off)? Does it have dislike towards the truth? Does it have hatred towards the believers? Does it bear a grudge against the believers? Verily, washing the heart everyday is more important than washing your clothes everyday. Wash your heart and purify it.”

We keep deceiving ourselves, claiming we have no time for the Qur’an, yet we spend hours scrolling through social media. The truth is, there’s no time better spent than with the Book of Allah. Beware, for time itself will testify against you and so will your limbs and the angels who record your deeds. Remember, the Qur’an doesn’t need your time, it’s your time that needs the Qur’an, for it is the source of barakah, peace, and purpose.

Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god), وَأَضَلَّهُ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ and Allah, knowing (him as such), left him astray, وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِ وَقَلْبِهِ and sealed his hearing and his heart, وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِ غِشَاوَةً and put a cover on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allah? Will you not then remember? [سورة الجاثية: ٢٣] If you read this ayah carefully, you'll find a very deep meaning.

Hakam ibn Musa said: “I woke up one morning and my wife complained about not having any flour or bread. I left knowing that I would be unable to get anything, and while walking down the street I said:
O Allah! You know that I know You know that I have no flour or bread or money, so grant them to us!
A man met me and asked, ‘Do you wish bread or flour?’ I replied, ‘Either.’ Then I walked around during the day trying to find means to acquire what I needed but was unable. When I returned home, my family had prepared a veritable feast of bread and meat. I asked, ‘Where did you get this?’ They replied, ‘From the person you sent!’ I remained silent.” [Reference: Legacy of the Prophet by Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbalī رحمه الله (pg. 84–85)]

Alī ibn Abī Tālib رضي الله عنه said:
If your Muslim brother visits you, then feed him with the best food in your house!

𝗔 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹? (A sacred bond, but not always an easy one) Imam Ash-Shāfi'ee رحمه الله said:
سمعتُ بعض أصحابنا ممن أثق به قال: تزوجتُ لأصونَ ديني، فذهب ديني ودين أمي ودين جيراني.
“I heard one of our companions, whom I trust, say: 'I married in order to safeguard my religion, but I ended up losing it, along with my mother's and my neighbours'.” [مناقب الشافعي للبيهقي (٢ / ١٩٢)] Marriage is a means to protect and strengthen one’s faith, yet how often do we witness the opposite? This warning applies not only to brothers but to sisters as well. Many sisters, with hopes of maintaining their Deen, end up losing it after marriage. This happens when the spouse fails to support their partner’s journey to Allah, leading to neglect of responsibilities, weak faith, and harm to their surroundings. Therefore, choosing a spouse should be based on their Taqwa (piety) and dedication to the Deen, as this is the foundation for a successful marriage that draws one closer to Allah. May Allah grant us righteous spouses who are a source of goodness in this life and the Hereafter, آمیـن.

Qatādah رحمه الله said:
Whoever is given money or beauty, clothes and knowledge and then does not humble himself, it will harm him on the Day of Resurrection!

Whoever is not merciful to the people, لا يرحمه الله. Allah will not be merciful to him.

However, if the husband commands his wife with something mubāh (permissible), and she does not obey him, then she is sinning by doing so. She is sinning by doing so. So how about if he is commanding her to worship Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, Commanding her with what is best in the eyes of all al-ʿulamāʾ (the people of knowledge), which is covering her face. So it is obligatory upon her to cover her face (by obeying him).

Funny story about supplicating for your brother in his absence: A man was sitting with his wife, and he remembered his friend whose wife had passed away. He wanted to make Duʿāʾ for his friend that Allāh blesses him with a righteous wife. His wife remembered a Hadith and stopped him from making the Duʿāʾ. She said if you supplicate for your friend, and angel will say, “May it be for you, too.” – Shaykh 'Abdurrazza‌q al-Badr حفظه الله

Don’t forget to send blessings and salutations on our beloved prophet ﷺ
