Surely the defendant and Judge Israel’s shared love of Judaism, Zionism, and Israel doesn’t affect his partiality. Ron Israel, who is a member of the World Jewish Congress and on the board of directors of the ADL, was allowed to remain on the case. Menon showed up in court with a Kippah emblazoned with the Star of David and Judge Israel gave him a mere 4 years. He’ll probably serve 1, if any.
