Job Title: Consultant - Qualitative Research (EMPOWER, WellMe and PracticePal) Location of Consultancy Deliverable: Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh with frequent travel to Vidisha, Raisen and Narmadapuram Duration of engagement: 2 months from date of signing of contract. This period can be extended if the deliverables are not achieved. About the Organization: Sangath (www.sangath.in) is one of India's leading mental health research non-profit organizations. It was founded in 1996 with its headquarters in Goa; major hubs in Delhi and Bhopal, and project sites in many parts of the country. About the work: The consultant will be actively engaged in conducting qualitative research under EMPOWER, WellMe and PracticePal projects. About EMPOWER- Project EMPOWER in Phase 1 involved training Community health workers (ASHAs) across three districts of Madhya Pradesh (Raisen, Vidisha, Narmadapuram) in psychological treatment of depression (Healthy Activity Program-HAP). Essential criteria- Post graduate degree in public health/Social work/Psychology with experience in undertaking qualitative research Certification/experience in qualitative research methods and good research practices Experience of doing qualitative research in community settings Desirable criteria: At least 5 years of work experience in undertaking research At least two publications in the field of qualitative research in a peer reviewed journal Consultancy fee: The consultancy fee will be deliverable based (Max. INR 80,000/- inclusive of all applicable taxes for two months (INR 40,000/- per month based on deliverables) and will be disbursed based on the successful accomplishment of deliverables.
