“It is sad that the avg cockpit out there flying in our Apache fleet has less than 900 hrs combined between both pilots - I finished with over3x that amount. All the senior AV warrant officers that said they were going to get out b/c of the vax - fell into 2 categories- those that retired in lieu of shot with over 20 yrs, and those that left right at 20. CW2’s comprise over 62% of the CWO billets in the battalions these days - and the MTOE is 49%. They are filling CW3 and CW4 billets in units manned at an aggregate 70%. BTW, the Apaches they are crashing now are the same ones that began entering the fleet 12 years ago and are still being built.”

Speaking of congress being toothless, someone in the Coast Guard commandant’s office told me discussions had been had about her not even showing up the the Congressional Subcommittee hearing she’d been directed to be at on May 21.
While I have no idea if that’s true, it won’t surprise me if it comes to fruition. Senator Johnson sent multiple letters to SECDEF over COVID stuff and DMED data, and he didn’t even bother to respond on several occasions. Congress has zero power. The defense industry lobbies them with millions of dollars, and they abdicate their authority because of this.

Julian is one of the names I edited in yesterday’s Issue Paper that was released. The Coast Guard is afraid to release these videos for fear they’ll get more questions from Congress, so Julian put it out himself.
