• HFCL: The company has secured export orders worth $54.81 million (approximately ₹522.73 crore) from leading global customers for the supply of optical fibre cables.
• Auto Stocks: Auto stocks, including Tata Motors CV and Eicher Motors, are expected to remain in focus after reporting their July sales performance over the weekend.
• Bharat Electronics (BEL): The Navratna defence PSU has secured additional orders worth ₹847 crore since its last disclosure on July 13. The orders include electro-optics, security operations centres, seekers, components, spares, and related services.
• Vodafone Idea: The telecom operator has received a notice from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) demanding ₹26.83 crore as liquidated damages for the alleged non-compliance with minimum rollout obligations related to the spectrum acquired in the 2022 spectrum auction.
• Sterlite Technologies (STL): The company has signed a multi-year supply agreement worth ₹960 crore with a domestic telecom operator for the supply of optical fibre cables.
• Zydus Lifesciences: The company has received the Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from the USFDA for its injectable manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad with a Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI) classification. The GMP surveillance inspection was conducted between April 27 and May 5.
• Afcons Infrastructure: The infrastructure company secured two new projects worth nearly ₹900 crore during the month of July.
• Powerica: The company has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) to develop a 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat at a tariff of ₹3.435 per kWh for a period of 25 years.
• NCC: The company received three new orders worth ₹1,052.71 crore in July. Orders worth ₹590.38 crore belong to the Buildings Division, while ₹462.33 crore pertain to the Water Division.
• Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL): SEBI has barred Zee Entertainment, Punit Goenka, and Essel Group founder Subhash Chandra from the securities market after finding that the company's Hyderabad property was mortgaged to secure loans raised by Essel Group entities without the necessary corporate approvals. ZEEL has been restrained from accessing the securities market for two months, while Punit Goenka and Subhash Chandra have been barred for 12 months. SEBI has also imposed a total penalty of ₹1.48 crore, including ₹30 lakh on ZEEL, ₹58 lakh on Goenka, and ₹60 lakh on Chandra. The company stated that the order will not impact its ongoing ₹2,300 crore fundraising programme and is likely to challenge the order before the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT).
BULK DEALS
• Rossell Techsys: Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund acquired 18.47 lakh shares, representing a 4.89% stake, from the company's promoters for ₹166.24 crore at ₹900 per share.
• Gaudium IVF and Women Health: Carnelian India Multi Strategy Fund sold 5 lakh shares, equivalent to a 0.68% stake, for ₹6.85 crore at ₹137 per share, around 73% higher than its acquisition price of ₹79 per share.
• Belding India: SageOne Investments' SageOne-Flagship Growth OE Fund purchased an additional 85,000 shares, representing a 0.58% stake, in Belding India for ₹8.61 crore at ₹1,013.76 per share.
