Covered 4.92 lakh households across India. A trip is defined as travel of more than 1 km. 📍 Key Findings 66.4% of students travel daily for education. Walking (37%) is the most common mode, followed by bus (29.5%). 57.6% of workers commute daily to workplaces. Two-wheelers (42.6%) are the preferred mode for work travel. Average travel time: 23 minutes (students) and 25 minutes (workers). 📍 Travel Trends Most students travel between 7–10 AM. Nearly 95% of workers leave for work before 10 AM. Average monthly commute cost: ₹443 (students) and ₹785 (workers). 73.5% of overnight trips use bus or rail. 📍 Why It Matter? Helps in transport planning, infrastructure development, and better public transport services.
