Rupee Update
The Indian rupee hovered near 95.5 per dollar, with likely RBI intervention and lower silver imports helping limit losses by easing pressure on the trade deficit. However, renewed Middle East tensions, rising crude oil prices, higher bond yields, and expectations of tighter U.S. monetary policy continued to weigh on the currency.

Silver Update
India's silver imports plunged to 46.8 metric tons in May from 534.3 tons a year earlier due to import restrictions despite weaker-than-usual demand. The curbs have tightened domestic supply, lifting premiums to six-month highs, while lower imports may pressure global silver prices and help reduce India's trade deficit and support the rupee.
