Dollar Update The dollar Index weakened to around 99.38 amid yen strength, while easing inflation and slower US private hiring supported Fed rate-cut expectations. Global Market Heatmap Global markets were mixed, with the Dow Jones and S&P 500 edging higher, while Nasdaq 100 and Nikkei 225 slipped slightly. European indices gained modestly, and VIX rose 0.89%. In commodities, gold and silver advanced over 1%, while platinum and palladium also gained. Crude oil remained largely flat, whereas natural gas rose 1.79%. The dollar weakened slightly, while the yen strengthened.
