⚜️Fungi that live in symbiotic association with plant roots. They help plants absorb nutrients, especially phosphorus, and in return receive carbon compounds from plants.
⚜️Show how soil is not merely a physical layer of minerals... it is a biological infrastructure that sustains vegetation, water cycles and carbon cycles.Soil fertility is not only a chemical property; it is an ecological outcome produced by microbes, fungi, roots and organic matter.

🅾️Frogs Build Clouds: What Foam-Nesting Frogs Teach Us About Survival
📌This is a case of Animal Behaviour- dont try to remember the name of the frog- focus on why they do this?- the survival logic- The African grey foam-nest tree frog does something unusual. Instead of laying eggs directly in water like most frogs, it builds a foamy nest on tree branches hanging over pools. The nest looks like a cloudy mass of bubbles. Inside it, the eggs develop safely. When the tadpoles are ready, they break through the foam and fall into the water below.

📌Context : Brazil proposed a new financing mechanism called the Tropical Forest Forever Facility. The idea is simple on paper. Countries that keep their forests standing will receive payments from a global fund
🅾️Issue : Saving forests is not primarily a financial problem but a political problem about control, rights, and accountability.It is about changing who holds power over land=If climate finance strengthens the following, then forests may survive.

🅾️The Aravalli system functions as a degraded but critical geomorphic and ecological transition zone, whose disruption has amplified desertification, groundwater stress, and habitat fragmentation

⚜️Oldest Range: The Aravallis are India's oldest mountain range (~2 billion years old).
⚜️Desert Shield: They act as a critical "ecological barrier" preventing the eastward spread of the Thar Desert into the Indo-Gangetic plains (Haryana, UP).
⚜️Water Tower: They are the source of major rivers like Chambal, Sabarmati, and Luni and serve as a massive groundwater recharge zone.

⚜️2. Sundarbans: Facing salinity increase, pollution, and storm surge damage to mangrove cover.
⚜️3. Manas: Recovering from insurgency but still affected by encroachment and forest degradation.

🅾️The government's primary action was to enforce a ban and impose penalties, tracked by technology. It relied on satellite monitoring (MODIS/VIIRS) to count the number of fire incidents. This shows the state's move towards data-driven governance.As the farmer became aware of the satellite's schedule (passing only a few times a day), they adapted. The Action shifted from outright burning to strategic burning—late in the evening, low-intensity, or partial burns—to evade detection.
🅾️Government data proudly announced a sharp decline in fire counts (the metric of visible success). However, the actual total burnt area- truth of the environmental damage remained largely unchanged.
