Energy Sector Rises (Oil Price Driven): Chevron (CVX) rose over 2% intraday, Diamondback Energy (FANG) led with gains exceeding 3%, Exxon Mobil (XOM) followed up ~1.5% intraday, Occidental Petroleum (OXY) rose over 2.5%. Trump’s announcement that the Iran ceasefire agreement had “ended” directly boosted geopolitical risk premium. Market concerns over Middle East supply disruptions drove WTI crude sharply higher, leading upstream oil & gas companies to significantly outperform the broader market.
Optical Communication Concept Stocks Strengthen: Ciena (CIEN) rose over 5%, Credo Technology (CRDO) rose nearly 5%, Astera Labs (ALAB) rose nearly 3%, Lumentum (LITE) rose over 1%, Coherent (COHR) rose nearly 1%. Main drivers: explosive demand for high-speed optical interconnects in AI data centers, ramp-up of 800G/1.6T optical modules and CPO technology, continued high capex from cloud giants, and capital shifting from GPUs toward the connectivity layer.
🏛 Institutional Views
• Glassnode Report: Bitcoin remains in a deep value zone after being below the true market mean and short-term holder cost basis for five months. Long-term holders’ realized losses accounted for 43% of total realized value, peaking at $280 million per day — the highest since December 2022. ETF net outflows have eased from June peaks but remain net outflows on a monthly basis. Derivatives positioning has cautiously turned bullish, with the put/call ratio at its lowest level in 2026. However, the options market maintains a defensive skew, and spot prices remain well below the maximum pain point of $66,000. The report believes bottoming conditions are in place — on-chain supply redistribution is underway, institutional outflows are slowing, and derivatives are de-risking — but confirmation signals have not yet arrived. The market still needs further cooling of capitulation pressure, stabilization of institutional flows, and recovery of the true market mean to confirm a regime shift.
