शठे शाठ्यं समाचरेत्।
Shrewd should be dealt with shrewdness.
This shloka is from Neetishatakam.
Bottom line:One should deal with a person in the same manner as a person's character is.One should not lower the guards while dealing with a cunning person. If one trusts a person blindly then there are chances that he/she may get betrayed. Also it can be interpreted that a good person can be trusted and one should not cheat an honest person.
This shloka can be used in gs 4 questions of qualities of a civil servant, life skills, case studies and essay paper.

रजस्तमश्चाभिभूय सत्त्वं भवति भारत |
रज: सत्त्वं तमश्चैव तम: सत्त्वं रजस्तथा||
Sometimes goodness (sattva) prevails over passion (rajas) and ignorance (tamas), O scion of Bharat.
Sometimes passion (rajas) dominates goodness (sattva) and ignorance (tamas), and at other times ignorance (tamas) overcomes goodness (sattva) and passion (rajas).
This shloka is from Bhagwad Gita Verse 10,Chapter 14.
Bottom line:The three guṇas are present in the material energy, and our mind is made from the same energy. Hence, all the three guṇas are present in our mind as well. They can be compared to three wrestlers competing with each other. Each keeps throwing the others down, and so, sometimes the first is on top, sometimes the second, and sometimes the third. In the same manner, the three guṇas keep gaining dominance over the individual’s temperament, which oscillates amongst the three modes. If sattva guṇa dominates, one becomes peaceful, content, generous, kind, helpful, serene, and tranquil. When rajo guṇa gains prominence, one becomes passionate, agitated, ambitious, envious of others success, and develops a gusto for sense pleasures. When tamo guna becomes prominent, one is overcome by sleep, laziness, hatred, anger, resentment, violence, and doubt.
This shloka can be used according to the demand of the question.

Dear subscribers,
Thank you for making us reach 1K milestone.Today we feel a bit emotional when we remember the day when we started this initiative. There were people who opposed our initiative, tried to malign us, what else and what not.But today we see down the memory lanes that you all have made it possible.
Thank you once again.
Now those who have given prelims today,we suggest to take a break for a day or two and start preparing for mains.
Best wishes
Hello friends.
This message is for those who are giving the preliminary examination tomorrow.Till now most of you would have received your dose of 'talk' from various sources. So why one more!
Friends just have a 'Ms Dhoni approach' or the 'cool approach'.Whatever needed to be done has been done.Nothing more could be done,so it's better to relax and enjoy.Accept the verdict whatever it shall be with dignity.
All the best.God is on your side.

Don't have from any person any type of attachment
Having contentment feeling inside, one can be carefree.
This doha is of Charan Das Ji.

This quote is of Mahatma Gandhi.

Good morning our dear subscribers.
For those who are giving prelims this year, you must be filled with complex emotions. Most of you would have reached the centre by this time the next Sunday. So what to do this upcoming week is the question.
First and the foremost, make yourself understand that you have read well and have given enough tests to ace the exam.Secondly, don't read anything new. There may be a few topics which you haven't covered. Our suggestion would be leave them. The areas which you have covered need to be revised so that you don't commit mistakes in topics which are your strength.Revise as much as possible in this week and make sure you revise the basic books.
Eat clean and healthy this week.Stay away from unnecessary gossips, arguments.Stay calm and talk to your loved ones.Take a break before the exam and watch a good, inspiring and motivational movie.(Comment below if anyone of you have good suggestions).
The lines of the poem Invictus by William Earnest Henley are worth mentioning:

I am the captain of my soul".

Paltudas says all such day and time are auspicious in which there is God's name
Auspicious day and time are a lie and they spoil the good initiative.
This doha is of Saint Paltudas ji.
Bottom line:One should not wait for the auspicious day or time to begin working towards their goal. One should have an action-oriented approach.Rather than merely planning to achieve something will not work.Planning is necessary but mere planning without any action is futile.Often we want to leave our ill habits but rather than starting from today we procrastinate it to the next day.The next day becomes the next and so on and so forth. However, the key to success is to act from the present moment itself. This lesson works well for almost all persons from various walks of life, be it student, entrepreneur, teacher, employee to mention a few.
This doha could be used in gs 4 questions regarding attitude, qualities of a civil servant, life skills, success and failure and essay on similar topics.
Please recommend our channel if our channel motivates you and carves a better version of yourself besides leaving the scope for fetching a few marks extra in the examination.Let others get benefitted too.

बन्धुरात्मात्मनस्तस्य येनात्मैवात्मना जित: |
अनात्मनस्तु शत्रुत्वे वर्ते तात्मैव शत्रुवत् || 6||
For those who have conquered the mind, it is their friend.
For those who have failed to do so, the mind works like an enemy.
This shloka is from Bhagwad Gita,Verse 6,Chapter 6.
Bottom line:We dissipate a large portion of our thought power and energy in combating people whom we perceive as enemies and potentially harmful to us. The Vedic scriptures say the biggest enemies—lust, anger, greed, envy, illusion, etc.—reside in our own mind. These internal enemies are even more pernicious than the outer ones. The external demons may injure us for some time, but the demons sitting within our own mind have the ability to make us live in constant wretchedness. When we nourish hatred in our mind, our negative thoughts do more damage to us than the object of our hatred.
It has been very sagaciously stated: “Resentment is like drinking poison and hoping that the other person dies.” The problem is that most people do not even realize that their own uncontrolled mind is causing them so much harm. However, the same mind has the potential of becoming our best friend, if we bring it under control of the intellect, through spiritual practice. The more powerful an entity is, the greater is the danger of its misuse, and also the greater is the scope for its utilization. Since the mind is such a powerful machine fitted into our bodies, it can work as a two-edged sword. Thus, those who slide to demoniac levels do so because of their own mind while those who attain sublime heights also do so because of their purified minds. Accordingly, Franklin D. Roosevelt, former President of America, expressed this very nicely: “Men are not prisoners of fate, but only prisoners of their own minds.”
This shloka can be used in gs 4 questions of power of thoughts, shunning negative emotions and thinking positive, action oriented life and similar topics in the essay paper.
