📌 Supports for Iranian Graduate Applicants of University of Alberta: Graduate application fee ($135) for students applying from Iran has been waived. 📌This fee waiver will be extended to all completed applications received between December 16, 2022 and the next international admissions deadline of March 1, 2023. 📌📌 Further Information from the email that we have received from FGSR: "Graduate students from Iran are a vital part of our campus community, our research and educational mission, and our responsibilities as a global university. They are represented in programs across most of our faculties. The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research recognizes the challenges that applicants from Iran face in completing applications, including the limits placed on their access to internet communications and arranging for transcripts and letters of reference. As such, FGSR and individual graduate programs are prepared to make reasonable accommodations around deadlines and the provision of original documents. To further support these students, effective December 16, 2022 FGSR will be waiving the graduate application fee ($135) for students applying from Iran. This fee waiver will be extended to all completed applications received between December 16, 2022 and the next international admissions deadline of March 1, 2023. This process will be applied automatically in the Graduate Studies Management Solution (GSMS) when an applicant applies from Iran. Fees that have been paid prior to December 16, 2022 will not be refunded. This may result in a significant increase in numbers of applications from Iran, and may require additional work for staff in FGSR and those in departments and faculties who are involved in graduate administrative responsibilities. It is important to note that only the application fee will be waived. Applicants, if accepted, will continue to be responsible for all other tuition, fees, and living expenses. As circumstances in Iran evolve, FGSR will continue to monitor the effect of the waiver and consult with relevant stakeholders within the University to determine whether the waiver should be extended to one or more subsequent international admissions deadlines. دانشگاه مک‌مستر کانادا فرصتهای زیادی برای حمایت از دانشجوهای ایرانی درحال اپلای فراهم کرده، دستورالعمل استفاده از این فرصت برای اپلای. در مورد کمک به متقاضیان ایرانی به تحصیل در خارج از کشور، در دپارتمان شیمی دانشگاه McMaster این اقدامات در حال انجام است، با هدف اینکه راه برای پذیرش گرفتن دانشجوهای ایرانی در مک مستر راحت تر شود: 1. ددلاین برای اپلای دانشجوهای ایرانی flexible هست چون میدانند که شرایط روحی ایرانی ها نامناسب هست و دسترسی به اینترنت در کشور با مشکل مواجه است. 2. بورسیه ای، که شامل دانشجوهای ایرانی هم با توجه به شرایط ایران می‌شود، وجو‌د دارد که متقاضیان تحصیل در مک مستر یا دانشجویانی که در حال حاضر در دانشگاه در حال تحصیل هستند می‌توانند اپلای کنن. لینک های زیر مربوط به این بورسیه هستند. باید ذکر بشود که چنین بورسیه ای در خیلی از دانشگاه های دنیا وجود دارد. McMaster pledges $800,000 to support forcibly displaced students, scholars and researchers – Daily News https://lnkd.in/eTeQvj9Y 3. استادی که با دانشجوی ایرانی مصاحبه کرده و قصد گرفتن آن دانشجو را دارد به جای دانشجو application fee را پرداخت می‌کند. 4. با توجه به هزینه ی بالای آزمون زبان و پست مدارک به خارج از کشور، استادی که مصاحبه کرده و سطح زبان دانشجو را برای تحصیل در مک مستر تایید می‌کند، و همچنین recommendation letter از اساتید دانشجو در ایران دریافت کرده، می‌تواند اجازه دهد تا دانشجو آزمون زبان را بعدا در شرایط مناسب تر دهد و بعد که نامه ی پذیرش را دریافت کرد و به دانشگاه آمد اصل همه ی مدرک را با خود بیاورد و به دانشگاه ارائه دهد. 5. با توجه به هزینه ی بالای خریدن مدرک، اگر دانشجویی این مشکل را داشته باشه برای آزاد کردن مدرکش، استاد راهنمای دانشجو در ایران می‌تواند یک ایمیل به administrator آن دپارتمان بفرستد و صحت اینکه دوره ارشد یا دکتری این دانشجو با موفقیت در آن دانشگاه کامل شده را تایید کند. 6. مهم ترین موضوع این هست که این ملاحظات برای دانشجوهای ایرانی به خوبی اطلاع رسانی شود و administrator در وبسایت دپارتمان، در قسمت admission به روشنی این موارد ذکر کند. **** دوستان لطف کنید این درخواست ها را در هر دپارتمان از مسئول خود و همچنین مسئول EDI (Equity, diversity, inclusion committee) پیگیری کنید تا در هر دپارتمان این اقدامات صورت گیرد و همه ی اساتید (توسط ایمیل داخلی که بین اساتید و کارمندان در هر دپارتمان فرستاده می‌شود) از این اقدامات آگاه شوند و جدیت موضوع را دریابند و حمایت عملی از دانشجوهای ایرانی کنند. **** لطفا دوستان ایرانی خود را در دانشگاه های سراسر دنیا مطلع کنید که چنین درخواست هایی را (تا هر اندازه که منطقی به نظر می‌رسد با توجه به شرایط آن دانشگاه و آن کشور) از دپارتمان خود، دانشکده ی خود و دانشگاه خود داشته باشند. امیدواریم همه ی دانشجویانی که واجد شرایط هستند و قصد دارند از کشور خارج شوند، به خاطر محدودیت های مالی و سیاسی، از تصمیمشان منصرف نشوند. **** به طور کلی ایجاد تغییر در یک مجموعه ی کوچک تر آسان تر است، به همین خاطر بهتر است ابتدا از دپارتمان خود شروع کنیم. سپس از مسئول دپارتمان و همچنین اگر انجمن ایرانی در دانشگاه داریم، از آنها بخواهیم که کاری که توسط دپارتمان ما انجام شده، طی ارسال ایمیل رسمی، به دپارتمان های دیگه هم اطلاع رسانی شود. #اپلای
