How the brutal murder of a 19th century British trader led to the unlikely discovery of a valuable 2nd century Sanskrit Manuscript https://www.dharmadispatch.in/history/a-murder-that-unearthed-a-second-century-sanskrit-manuscript-episode-1

The Hatred of the RSS has its Origins in the Mleccha Mentality   IN ALL OF HUMAN HISTORY, perhaps no organization of the size, sweep, scale, reach and longevity of the RSS, has been so consistently demonized and persecuted for selflessly serving its country and culture.   The critics of the RSS view it as an enemy to be destroyed and not an organisation to be critiqued. This attitude directly stems from the Mleccha mentality that declares that all is fair in love and war.   In the Sanatana view, love is tenderness, spirituality and submission, and there is Dharma in war as well.  --- Do read the second part of this insightful series. The RSS on the Anvil of a Century: Leisurely Musings   A new series exploring the evolution of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which is all set to touch the centenary milestone next year.   Some excerpts are given below. --- More than 30 years ago, Sita Ram Goel had pretty much nailed the fraud called secularism when he declared, “I have no use for a Secularism which treats Hinduism as just another religion, and puts it on par with Islam and Christianity… Secularism is a new name for national subversion.”   A secular government was one which bullied the Ramakrishna Mission to declare itself as non-Hindu.   A secular government was one which imposed a retrospective “Prasadam tax” to the tune of ₹ 20 crores on Tirumala laddoos – from 1975 to 1986.   And the biggest casualty of this secularism was the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Its story is a real-life epic of our times. --- Read the whole piece! 📑🙏🛕🕉🪔 https://www.dharmadispatch.in/history/the-rss-on-the-anvil-of-a-century-leisurely-musings

Clean up the Campuses. Now!   Commentary on the shocking event at O.P. Jindal University in which a law student, Mukundan M Nair openly instigated students to replace Hindu temples with mosques. ---- Mukundan M Nair is an incurably radicalised Far Left extremist. He is the latest posterboy of the long-term success of the Communist project that began a century ago. The fact that he is pursuing a law degree and might some day become a lawyer is chilling.   Prof M. Hiriyanna memorably declared that “the aim of education is not to inform the mind but to form it.” The Left literally overturned this profound philosophy and created an “educational” system that deforms minds.   Every university that has a Humanities department is a Far Left theme park. The theme is the same: breaking India and dismantling Sanatana Dharma. Both in theory and practice. -- Read the powerful essay in full! 📑😡🙏🪔   https://www.dharmadispatch.in/commentary/clean-up-the-campuses-now

Maharaja Jayachandra’s White Elephant that Refused to Salute Muhammad Ghori   Jayachandra, the last great Gahadavala emperor has been unfairly maligned by history as Jaichand, the traitor. This has pretty much obscured his glorious legacy as an exemplary champion of Sanatana Dharma.   This essay narrates just a small slice of Jayachandra's pious service to Sanatana Dharma. It tells the story of a white elephant that he had regarded as sacred. Unfortunately, it was captured by the Turushka army of Muhammad Ghori. When he ordered it to salute him, it refused. -- Read the whole thrilling essay! 🙏🕉🛕🪔 https://www.dharmadispatch.in/history/maharaja-jayachandras-white-elephant-that-refused-to-salute-muhammad-ghori

The Dravidification of Karnataka Politics   Congress MP D.K. Suresh's call for a separate South Indian nation heralds the Dravidification of Karnataka politics and must be checked if we are serious about national unity.   Even as I watched the Prime Minister reprimanding his dangerous utterances in his Presidential motion of thanks, I couldn’t help feeling wistful at the sorry pass that my state has come to. That a sitting MP from a highly cultured state like Karnataka could publicly call for a “separate south Indian nation” was not even in the realm of my wildest imagination. --- Do read this heartfelt essay and share widely! 📑🛕🪔 https://www.dharmadispatch.in/commentary/the-dravidification-of-karnataka-politics

The Samadhi-Bhasha of the Bhagavad Gita: In which the Bhagavan Himself Spoke   Patriotic martyrs like Chapekar, Khudiram Bose, Ramprasad Bismil — all of them expressed a desire to hold a copy of the Bhagavad Gita in their hands in the final moments before they were hanged to death.   The multi-storied style of language used in the Bhagavad Gita is traditionally known as samādhi bhāṣā (meaning, the Language of Ultimate Bliss).   It is clear from a close reading of the Gita that the Krishna who delivered the discourse was not a historical person but was Bhagavan himself.  --- Read the sublime essay in full and share widely! 🕉🙏🛕🪔 https://www.dharmadispatch.in/culture/the-samadhi-bhasha-of-the-bhagavad-gita-in-which-the-bhagavan-himself-spoke

The Singularity of the Bhagavad Gita   We begin a new series exploring the multifarious aspects of Srimad Bhagavad Gita.   The limited intent of this essay is to spot the elements that make it so singular and responsible for its widespread appeal. It is also hoped that this backdrop will help those who are interested to study the Gita in depth.   One must see to it that there is restraint in one’s worldly transactions. The Gita has declared that every work that is not tainted with selfishness is a Yajna.   The Gita is more a handbook of life, i.e., the flowering of one’s personality, than a work of pure Sastra.  -- Do read and share widely! 🙏🕉🛕🪔 https://www.dharmadispatch.in/culture/the-singularity-of-the-bhagavad-gita

When Nawab Nehru Feared a Coup: His Ultimate Nightmarish Legacy ----   Nawab Nehru's legacy is a nightmarish tale of incompetence, manipulation, and betrayal.   From his disastrous handling of Kashmir to his susceptibility to Communist brainwashing, Nehru's rule was marked by failure and self-serving actions. His disregard for the country's defense and his fear of a military coup cement his damaging impact.   -- Read the concluding episode of our series documenting Nawab Nehru's nightmarish legacy. 🔖👍🙏📑   https://www.dharmadispatch.in/commentary/when-nawab-nehru-feared-a-coup-his-ultimate-nightmarish-legacy

Nawab Nehru: The Weakling who Worshipped Dictators   Throughout his life Nawab Nehru worshipped absolute dictators like Lenin, Stalin and Mao because deep down, he was riddled with a massive inferiority complex.   Almost every gaffe, every stupid utterance, and every Himalayan blunder that Nehru made can be traced back to his inherently weak personality. The fact that Motilal Nehru could turn his 30-plus old son into a frightened puddle with just a stern glare says a lot about the son. -- Read this blockbuster essay in full! 🔖😃🪔👍 https://www.dharmadispatch.in/commentary/nawab-nehru-the-weakling-who-worshipped-dictators

Nawab Nehru, Muhammad bin Tughlaq and Tyranny: An Analysis   The parallels between Muhammad bin Tughlaq and Nawab Nehru are so glaring and evident that I cursed myself for not noticing them earlier.    Like Tughlaq, Nehru too, regarded India as a playground on which he could play varied sports of his own devising. And like Tughlaq, every single sport that Nehru played, ended up grievously wounding and killing the actual players — real people, the citizens of India.    Like Tughlaq, Nehru’s unrivalled cluelessness was only complemented by his irredeemable megalomania. -- Read the full piece! 📑👍🔖🪔 https://www.dharmadispatch.in/commentary/nawab-nehru-muhammad-bin-tughlaq-and-tyranny-an-analysis

Reclaiming Sri Rama Mandir: A Landmark in Recovering Bharatavarsha's Spiritual Freedom   THE PRANA-PRATISHTAPANA OF SRI RAMACHANDRA is one of the greatest landmarks in a prolonged struggle to recover Bharatavarsha’s spiritual freedom. The fact that the usage of the word Prana-Pratishta has become pervasive in the English language media is a definitive indicator of this freedom.   Its significance has parallels in the foundation of the Vijayanagara Empire, the rise of the Maratha power, and the triumph of the Hindu civilisation in 1947, when the combined forces of Islamic regimes and the colonial British were conclusively defeated.  -- Do read my latest essay! 🛕🕉🪔   https://www.dharmadispatch.in/commentary/reclaiming-sri-rama-mandir-a-landmark-in-recovering-bharatavarshas-spiritual-freedom

Reclaiming the Sri Rama Mandir: Lessons and Insights for the Hindu Community ---   SRI RAMACHANDRA HAS FINALLY RETURNED TO HIS HOME. In stellar style. Not an eye was dry yesterday. It is undoubtedly a civilisational triumph.   When an honest history of our period is written say, fifty years later, this will be regarded not merely as a major event but an epoch. It is really the fruition of countless — told and untold — sacrifices and centuries of tapas done by the collective spiritual and cultural consciousness of the Sanatana community.    The Rama Mandir at Ayodhya has become a reality today because Hindus have preserved the memory of its destruction.  ----- This is a piece close to my heart. The Story of the Vira Pancaḻas is a Case Study in Busting the Myth of the Caste System   The Gundlupet inscription of the Vira Pancaḻas reveals eye-opening details regarding several aspects of the Hindu society in the Vijayanagara kingdom and helps us expose the colonial and Marxist myths about the so-called caste system.   The components of the Vira Pancaḻas include those communities which are today recognised by our Constitution as “backward classes” — carpenters, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, stone-cutters, braziers, washermen, barbers, etc. Yet, here is an inscription which tells almost the opposite story.   We must remember that the Vira Pancaḻas were the authors of this inscription. And here, when they describe their educational qualifications, it reads like the resume of a typical Brahmana Pandit or Vidvan! --- Do read the second episode of this exciting history series! 😃📑🕉🛕🪔   https://www.dharmadispatch.in/history/the-story-of-the-vira-panca%E1%B8%BBas-is-a-case-study-in-busting-the-myth-of-the-caste-system

The Story of the Vira Panchalas: The Heroic Hindu Business Guild of Vijayanagara   The Vira Panchalas were a group of five artisans who flourished in the Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu regions for over 300 years. Their influence extended to society and politics, and they were masters in gemstone trading, jewelry-making, and merchandising. They also played a significant role in local, provincial, and central politics and were known for their philanthropy.   The stronghold of their power and dominance was in the general area known as the eṇṇe-nāḍu (literally, “oil region”) comprising the contemporary towns of Nanjanagudu, Gundlupete, Terakanambi, Chamarajanagara,  and Haradanahalli.    An inscription from 1372 at the Rameswara Temple at Gundlupet highlights the preeminence of Vira Panchalas. -- The first episode of a new series on The Dharma Dispatch. 📑🛕🕉🪔 https://www.dharmadispatch.in/history/the-story-of-the-vira-panchalas-the-heroic-hindu-business-guild-of-vijayanagara

Bangalore Nagaratnamma: A Life Dedicated to Tyagaraja   This is an abridged English translation of D.V. Gundappa's brilliant and moving profile of Bangalore Nagaratnamma, a musician par excellence who built a memorial for Tyagaraja in Tiruvayur.   Her personal life during her last days was joyless. Two of her children had died. Another adopted child too, passed away. As the Bhagavatam says, God gives immense suffering to those dear to him. She realized that she would find no solace in anyone or anything except at the feet of Sri Ramachandra. The wealth and the fame that she had earned, she realized, came from the grace of Tyagaraja Swami. And so, she resolved to offer everything that she owned to him and to his chosen deity, Sri Rama. It is hard not to be deeply moved after reading this extraordinary profile. Do share widely! 🙏🕉🛕🪔   https://www.dharmadispatch.in/culture/bangalore-nagaratnamma-a-life-dedicated-to-tyagaraja

The Congress Party is Consuming the Toxic Fruit of Insulting Maryada Purushottam Sri Ramachandra   IT IS ALWAYS FUN to see the Congress party squirm. The ensuing Prana-Pratishta of Marayada Purushottama Sri Ramachandra is the mother of all spectacles of the aforementioned Congress squirming.  The Congress has scripted its own pathetic fate.  It is the Congress that truly stands isolated. It now resembles an unwieldy sandwich cut into three slices — the pro-Mandir slice, the desperate slice, and the anti-Mandir slice.    How exactly did the Congress think that it could militate against Sri Ramachandra and get away with it unscathed? -- My latest commentary on the history of the Congress Party, which tried to block the rebuilding of the Sri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.  📑😡🙏🕉🪔🛕 https://www.dharmadispatch.in/commentary/the-congress-party-is-consuming-the-toxic-fruit-of-insulting-maryada-purushottam-sri-ramachandra
