The market is experiencing selling pressure.
FII buying has resumed after two months of continuous selling, coinciding with a decline in the US 10-year bond yield from 4.4% to 4.2%. This buying activity is expected to increase gradually if bond yields fall below 4%. However, the recent DII selling over the last two days is surprising and has added pressure on the market.Currently, the market is in a "sell on rise" mode, with prices failing to sustain at higher levels as many investors who were stuck at those levels take the opportunity to exit. A pre-budget rally is anticipated next month, but the rally is likely to be limited to stocks that stand to benefit directly from the budget. Investors should exercise caution while selecting such stocks, as the market may witness strong selling pressure again after the budget announcement.
If US bond yields fall below 4%, FIIs are likely to become net buyers, which could support the market. In this scenario, the market could find support above the 24,000 level, and further downside seems limited.
This is a "sell on rise" market, where every upward movement is being met with selling pressure. The market is expected to close in the red today.
