Today, the overall market was highly volatile, with the small and midcap indices remaining down throughout the day. However, we observed strong buying from the bottom, especially in quality stocks from sectors like jewellery and pharma, led by DIIs. Investors holding stocks from underperforming sectors will likely see their portfolios continue to lag because the market has shifted its focus to sectors that were previously underperforming. Our premium channel portfolios have outperformed because we shifted positions away from defense, railway, and PSU stocks and focused on pharma and jewellery.In this market, profits are only achievable if you understand the market cycle. IT stocks, on the other hand, continue to underperform due to recession concerns in the US. However, we could see momentum in IT stocks if the Fed decides to cut interest rates.
