WEALTH BUILDER PICK UPDATE ✅ 🌟 Artemis Medicare Services Ltd. (ARTEMISMED) 🌟 1. Govt. has proposed allowing patients to purchase medicines from either hospital-owned or outside pharmacies. Govt. has also raised concerns over high drug markups, citing a cancer drug bought at ₹2,400 and sold to patients at ₹24,000. 2. This may impact hospitals that depend heavily on walk-in cash-paying patients. 3. Hospitals with higher insured and international patient mix may face relatively lower impact, as their pricing follows established standards. 4. Artemis has 32% of revenue coming from international patients, 30% from insured and 19% from domestic walk-in patients.

COS DEVELOPMENT ☑️ ESCORTS KUBOTA 🚜🏗️ ESCORTS KUBOTA SEPTEMBER TRACTOR SALES DECLINE 17% YoY; CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT SALES SURGE 92.5% 🚀 • Tractor sales stood at 15,214 units in September 2026, down 16.7% YoY from 18,267 units. Domestic tractor sales declined 16.2% to 14,911 units, while exports fell 34.7% to 303 units. • Management highlighted that the September comparison was impacted by a high base from the September 2025 GST-rate cut, festive season shifting to October 2026, patchy monsoon conditions and relatively lower Kharif sowing. • 6M FY27 domestic tractor sales remain up 11.3% YoY to 68,085 units, while total tractor sales increased 10.0% to 70,879 units, despite the weak September base effect. • Construction Equipment sales reached a record September of 795 machines, surging 92.5% YoY from 413 machines. 6M FY27 volumes increased 41.2% to 3,108 units. • The company cited government infrastructure spending, road/railway/urban infrastructure and mining activity, and healthy mechanisation demand as key drivers for construction-equipment growth. KEY DEVELOPMENT ☑️ AUTO / CAFE-III NORMS 🚗🌱 GOVT NOTIFIES CAFE-III NORMS FROM APRIL 2027; 3X CREDIT FOR EVs, NO SPECIAL BENEFIT FOR SMALL CARS 🚨 • The Centre has notified CAFE-III (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) norms for passenger vehicles, effective 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2032, with progressively tighter fleet fuel-efficiency targets. • The fuel-consumption benchmark tightens from 3.996 litres/100 km in FY28 to 3.3273 litres/100 km in FY32, implying an improvement of around 16.7% over five years. • Battery EVs and range-extended EVs receive a 3X “super credit”, while plug-in/strong hybrids and flex-fuel vehicles also receive higher effective-volume credits. • Unlike earlier expectations, small cars do not receive a separate relaxed CAFE treatment, increasing the need for efficiency improvements across the passenger-vehicle portfolio. • The framework also provides carbon-neutrality benefits for ethanol, CNG and other alternative fuels, while allowing credits for technologies such as start-stop systems, regenerative braking, efficient alternators and higher-efficiency AC systems. • Automakers will operate under a credit/debit framework, with excess credits tradable between manufacturers and compliance assessed through annual reporting, while CO₂ performance will be reported under both MIDC and WLTP methodologies. Key Impact Areas: Maruti Suzuki | Tata Motors | Mahindra & Mahindra | Hyundai Motor India | Toyota Kirloskar | EV & Hybrid Ecosystem

KEY DEVELOPMENT ☑️ HOSPITALS / HEALTHCARE 🏥💊 HOSPITAL STOCKS IN FOCUS AS SC FLAGS HIGH MEDICINE MARK-UPS & IN-HOUSE PHARMACY PRACTICES 🚨 • Apollo Hospitals, Max Healthcare, Fortis Healthcare and Aster DM Healthcare came under pressure in trading after the Supreme Court raised concerns over high mark-ups on medicines sold by private/corporate hospitals. • The Supreme Court highlighted a cancer drug with a Price to Retailer (PTR) of ~₹2,700 versus an MRP of ~₹27,000, questioning the rationale behind the wide price differential. • The Bench also questioned the practice of requiring in-patients to purchase medicines and medical products from hospital-owned or designated pharmacies, particularly where substantially cheaper alternatives may be available outside. • The Court asked why the existing 16% retailer-margin framework applicable to scheduled medicines could not potentially be extended more broadly. No uniform 16% cap has been ordered by the Court at this stage. • The Centre has sought time for further inter-departmental consultations, indicating that any solution would need to balance affordability and other stakeholders; the matter is scheduled for further hearing on 12 October 2026.

COS DEVELOPMENT ☑️ ADANI PORTS & SEZ ⚓🚢🌏 APSEZ DOUBLES COLOMBO WEST TERMINAL CAPACITY TO 3.2MN TEUs WITH $750MN INVESTMENT 🚀 • APSEZ has commissioned Phase-II expansion of Colombo West International Terminal (CWIT) with a total investment of US$750Mn, doubling capacity from 1.6Mn TEUs to 3.2Mn TEUs. • The expanded terminal aims to handle nearly 25% of Port of Colombo’s targeted 13Mn TEU capacity by 2028, strengthening APSEZ’s position in the regional container-transshipment market. • CWIT has already handled 2Mn TEUs within its first 18 months of operations, following its earlier milestone of handling 1Mn TEUs within its inaugural year. • With the expansion, CWIT can simultaneously berth three ultra-large container vessels, strengthening Colombo’s role as a major East–West trade-route transshipment hub. • The terminal operates under a 35-year BOT concession and is Sri Lanka’s first fully automated deep-water container terminal, with fully electrified operations and zero tailpipe emissions. Key Positive: Capacity doubling at CWIT materially increases APSEZ’s international container handling footprint and strengthens its exposure to Indian Ocean transshipment flows.
