Few causes of weight loss are with good appetite while other have poor appetite.. weight loss with good appetite---- Hyperthyroidism, malabsorption, uncontrolled diabetes, pheochromocytoma, weight loss with poor appetite---- malignancy, CHF, CKD , chronic lung disease, gastroduodenal diseases IBD one should ask patients about ALARM SYMPTOMS Dysphagia, odynophagia, GI bleed Malena or haematochezia, abdominal pain , change n bowel habit respiratory symptoms bone pains endocrine symptoms like racing heart in hyperthyroidism unusual sweating nervousness lethargy feeling of giddiness -- chronic adrenal insufficiency PATIENTS NUTTRITIONAL INTAKE how much servings patients eats how many times patient eats, is patient able to finish portion of food MEDICAL & FAMILY HISTORY of above conditions should be asked MEDICATION HISTORY SHOULD BE SOUGHT *paceUrMRCP.*
