Civil Services Prelim Exam 2026: No long wait for answers! No more uncertainty! For the 1st time, UPSC will release the Provisional Answer Keys of the CSE (Prelim) Exam 2026 soon after the exam. A  significant step towards greater transparency.

Some students are asking repeatedly for interview preparation. Those students who are 100% to 90% sure to get through PCS mains successfully they should start putting in few hours daily for interview (Personality Test). 1. Newspaper studying (yes, not mere reading) is non negotiable. Editorials and Op-Ed pages are must but other pages must also be read to forumlate ideas. 2. If you haven't spoken English in a while, you must start practice english speaking too. The earlier the better. 3. If your English communication isn't good enough to convey academic ideas, you must polish it. 4. Make ideas, views with factual and canonical backing to defend your stance in the interview room. 5. Some good books (non fiction historical preferred), documentaries, lectures and even Movies may also be watched before result. 6. Reading idea based high value content, articles from all sources possible. 7. Work on your personality. Start working. May God bless you. Major General Vinayak Saini, SM, VSM (Retd) stated that about 34,000 candidates appeared in the preliminary examination, out of which around 4,300 qualified. Of these, nearly 4,200 candidates registered for the mains examination, & out of these around 3,900 candidates actually appeared in the PCS-2025 mains.

For PCS Mains a total of 12 examination centres have been established across Patiala City. To maintain strict supervision and transparency, senior IAS and PCS officers have been deputed as observers at each examination centre. Biometric verification systems have been installed at every centre to ensure accurate identification of candidates. Additionally, jammers have been deployed to prevent the use of any electronic devices during the examination.

ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਹੋਣ। ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਨ ਮਿਹਨਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੂਰ ਪਵੇ। 1. ਅੱਜ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਤੱਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈੱਨ, ਪੇਪਰ ਬੋਰਡ (transparent) ਅਤੇ PPSC ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੋਰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਸਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰ ਲਓ। 2. ਅੱਜ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ 10 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਹਰ ਹਾਲ ਸੌਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ। ਗੂੜ੍ਹੀ ਨੀਂਦ (nREM sleep) ਯਾਦ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। 3. ਪੇਪਰਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਕੋਈ ਨਵਾਂ experiment ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ। ਬਾਹਰਲਾ ਖਾਣਾ ਵੀ avoid ਹੋ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਹੈ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਾਫ਼ ਸੁਥਰਾ ਸਾਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੀ ਲਓ। 4. ਸ਼ਾਮ ਤੱਕ ਰਿਵੀਜ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਸਮਾਂ ਰੱਖੋ ਜਾਂ ਲੇਖ ਦੇ ਪੇਪਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ (ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਰਚਾ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਰਹੇ) ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ pointers, Data ਅਤੇ historical facts ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਾ ਵਧੀਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇਠ ਲਿਖੇ 'Essay Worthy Themes' ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿਜੀ ਰਾਇ, pointers etc ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਣਾ - 1.
