Ideal for an enchanting one-day tour is Possadigumpe or Possadi Grumpe, located on a hillock, 323 meters above sea level and 18 km east of Mangalpady in the village of Dharmathadka, which is at a distance of 25 kilometers north of Kasaragod.
The top of the hill offers you exotic views of the Arabian Sea and the Areca gardens of Kasaragod, that extends up to the city of Mangalore and Kudremukh. The delightfully cool environs of this place makes it just the right place for a picnic. It is best advised to go there fully equipped, with food, water and trekking gear.

Kochareekkal Caves
Located around 28 km from Kochi on the Piravom route, Kochareekal Caves is one of the least explored tourist attractions. With large trees, ponds, and caves, this place gives a dense forest atmosphere. Trees have huge roots that give people support in entering the caves(like stair railings). These roots also act as pillars inside the caves.
Still, in good condition, these caves were believed to be hiding places for the soldiers during the battle period. The pond within the premises is another attraction with its origin behind. The water from this pond is used for drinking purposes by the people around it.

Varkala Tunnel – Opt For Boating
Have you heard about the Varkala Tunnel? If not, make a point of checking this place out on your trip next time. It was built in 1867 by Sir Madhav Rao who used to be the dewan of Travancore at that time. Believe it or not, this tunnel took14 years to build. It was built for merchants as a checkpoint before proceeding their journey to Thiruvananthapuram. The tunnel is an impressive example of architecture. If possible, do take a boat ride through the tunnel which will make you remind of Gondola Ride in Venice.

Valiyathura Pier
Make your weekend unique with a visit to the most extraordinary tourist place in Kerela. Valiyathura Pier is somewhere else which is an unquestionable requirement visit destination in Kerela. This 214-meter long Pieris situated at the old port of Valiyathura, an unwinding shoreline at Kovalam.
This dock was utilized by the angler amid the high tide and is currently a well-known spot for calculating and photography. Upheld by 127 solid heaps, the dock had four 3-ton cranes and one 10-tonner to empty load from the boats. Since the wharf was situated in shallow waters, substantial boats needed to grapple in the remote ocean and transport their product in little vessels.

Located in-between the Black Beach and Odayam Beach in a three-story building with a spiral staircase is one of the fascinating Varkala tourist places - Varkala aquarium. The aquarium hosts big chunks of exotic species including scorpionfish, angelfish, koi and the local karimeen.
The marine species are placed along the spiral walkway.The aquarium is highly educational, especially for the kids, with detailed information sections. The top floor of the building has an open tank where all the species are placed.
The scenic Varkala cliff is visible from the building area, and the lush of sea breeze can be churned upon from the walk-way. The aquarium makes for an exciting diversion from the beach.
