قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله: Shaykh Sulayman ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: كان السلف يجتهدون في العشر الأول من ذي الحجة اجتهادًا كبيرًا، • The Salaf used to strive greatly in the first ten days of Dhul-Ḥijjah, فلا تحرم نفسك من الاجتهاد فيهن في سائر طرق الخير، • So do not deprive yourself of striving in them in all paths of goodness. فإن الحديث الوارد في فضل العمل الصالح فيهن جاء بصيغ مؤكدة للعموم، • For the hadith reported regarding the virtue of righteous deeds during them came in forms that strongly affirm generality, فلا يحتاج معه إلى نص خاص لكل عمل، • So it does not require a specific text for each individual deed. وليعظم اجتهادك في ترك الحرام فيهن، • And let your striving in abandoning the forbidden be even greater during them. فلا تحرم نفسك في هذه الأيام ولا تظلمها. • So do not deprive yourself in these days, and do not wrong it. https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī, may Allah preserve him, said: The Salafi, with his clear religion and his upright methodology, says what he knows, and builds his positions upon the legislative principles, and loves security, stability, and happiness for every land from the lands of the Muslims, and he supplicates for that for all the lands of the Muslims, and he rejoices at every news in which there is stability and goodness for any Muslim land, and at the exposure of the criminals and the traitors and their unveiling, and he asks Allah to protect the lands of the Muslims from the evils of tribulations and those who cause tribulations. https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

Six of the Noblest Remembrances After the Book of Allah: A Dhikr That Requires No Effort—Yet Magnificent in Its Reward! Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli حفظه الله

The Legislated Acts in Dhul-Qaʿdah for the Believer Shaykh Sulayman al-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: What is legislated for the believing man and the believing woman in the month of Dhul-Qaʿdah: 1- That he avoids all wrongdoing, because Dhul-Qaʿdah is from the sacred months, and wrongdoing is of three types: The first: wrongdoing by committing sins, and the most severe of it is associating partners with Allah, which is a tremendous wrongdoing. So it is legislated that the believing man and the believing woman increase their care in abandoning sins in the month of Dhul-Qaʿdah more than their care in that in other than the sacred months. The second: wrongdoing by leaving obligations, so it is legislated that the believing man and the believing woman increase their care in performing the obligations upon them. The third: wrongdoing against the people, so it is legislated to give attention to avoiding wrongdoing against the people and freeing oneself from it if it is present. 2- That he performs ʿUmrah in Dhul-Qaʿdah if he is able, for it is the best time for ʿUmrah after Ramaḍān, upon verification. 3- Fasting what is legislated to be fasted in the rest of the months, especially the middle days—the three white days of the month. 4- Being keen upon the acts of worship that a person performs in other than it, such as remembrance of Allah, recitation of the Qurʾān, and the rest of the righteous deeds that he is accustomed to. As for initiating specific acts of worship in Dhul-Qaʿdah merely because it is Dhul-Qaʿdah, then there is no basis for it. And is it legislated to fast the entire month of Dhul-Qaʿdah? This was mentioned from some of the early scholars, but it is an independent reasoning, and there is no specific evidence for it. And the Prophet ﷺ is most knowledgeable of the interpretation of the Qurʾān and most eager in obedience to the Most Merciful, and he is for us a model and an example. https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: The one who causes trials, the one afflicted by trials, says: “The Jāmiyyah have confined the religion to obedience to the ruler.” And firstly: there does not exist a sect that calls itself “al-Jāmiyyah” or that has independent principles specific to it. Rather, those who are called “al-Jāmiyyah” refuse this name, and their principles are the principles of Ahl al-Sunnah, and they forbid attributing oneself to a man or showing partisanship to him, and they recognise for the rabbānī scholars their virtue. And secondly: we do not concede to you your false claim. So here are the scholars whom you call “al-Jāmiyyah”—they have filled the world with knowledge: Tawḥīd, Sunnah, fiqh, and beneficial knowledge in various fields. And these are their sermons in everything that benefits the people, and they are keen upon guarding the religion from the newly invented matters of the likes of you. And thirdly: hearing and obeying the Muslim ruler in that which is not disobedience to Allah is from the religion of Allah and from the principles of Ahl al-Sunnah. As for you and those like you, then you have confined yourselves to reviling the rulers of the Muslims and demonising them, and in reviling the rabbānī scholars—rather, even in declaring them disbelievers—and this is an evil from the greatest of abhorrent acts and from the principles of the devils. Note: every Salafī Sunnī, in every era and in every place, restricts the hearing and obeying of the ruler which he calls to with two conditions: the first, that he be a Muslim; and the second, that the obedience be in that which is not disobedience to Allah. As for in disobedience, then he prohibits obedience in it and prohibits rebelling because of it. And likewise, when the people of desires manifest an innovation, the people of the Sunnah manifest the Sunnah which opposes it and focus upon it greatly, without neglecting the rest of the beneficial knowledge. https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

When Their Criticism Is Directed at Your Adherence to the Religion: Then Stand Firm—For You Are the Praiseworthy, and They Are the Blameworthy! Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli حفظه الله

Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī, may Allah preserve him, said: “The news of the passing of Shaykh al-Azhar Sunayrah has reached me—may Allah forgive him, have mercy upon him, expand his entrance, make him blessed in his grave, and record him among the people of the highest level of Paradise. May He record the reward for his family and those who loved him. And may Allah unite the word of the Salafīs in Algeria and in every place upon guidance, piety, Tawḥīd, the Sunnah, and the foundations of Ahl al-Sunnah, and bring comfort to our eyes through that.” https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

O Youth, Do Not Draw Near to Unlawful Women — For in Nearness Lies the Beginning of Your Destruction! Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli حفظه الله

Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli — may Allah preserve him — said: “How great is the love of Ahl al-Sunnah for the truth, and how beautiful is their excellence towards the creation. They are harmed upon the truth, yet they remain firm; and they are harmed by the creation because of what they are upon of the truth, so they are patient. And they relinquish their rights and do not do what they have been permitted to do, and the guidance of the creation to the truth is more beloved to them than taking their full rights. Al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Rajab — may Allah have mercy upon him — mentioned in Dhail Ṭabaqāt al-Ḥanābilah that Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah — may Allah have mercy upon him — when the harm of his opponents against him intensified due to what he would openly proclaim of the truth which the Salaf were upon, his brother, Shaykh Sharaf al-Dīn, began to supplicate and invoke Allah against them. So he prevented him — may Allah have mercy upon them both — and said to him: rather say: ‘O Allah, grant them a light by which they may be guided to the truth.’” https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli
