📚 BAHASA INGGERIS DIRECT & INDIRECT QUESTIONS Direct Question = pertanyaan secara langsung. Contoh: Where is the bathroom? = Di manakah bilik air? What time does the store open? = Pukul berapakah kedai itu dibuka? Indirect Question = pertanyaan yang disampaikan dengan cara yang lebih halus dan sopan. Contoh: Could you tell me where the bathroom is? = Bolehkah kamu memberitahu saya di manakah bilik air itu? Do you know what time the store opens? = Adakah kamu tahu pukul berapakah kedai itu dibuka? 💡 Perhatikan perbezaannya: Direct: Where is she? Indirect: Do you know where she is? ❌ Do you know where is she? Dalam Indirect Question, susunan perkataan adalah seperti ayat penyata biasa. Direct: Where does he live? Indirect: Do you know where he lives? Pola mudah: Do you know + question word + subject + verb? Could you tell me + question word + subject + verb? 📝 QUIZ Rani: “Excuse me, ____?” Dika: “Sure. The library is next to the cafeteria.”

🎤 SPM SPEAKING NOTES 💡 HOW TO DEVELOP YOUR POINT Giving a point alone is not enough. Expand your answer using: POINT → REASON → EXAMPLE → EFFECT 📌 Example topic: How can teenagers maintain a healthy lifestyle? ❌ Too short: «Teenagers should exercise regularly.» ✅ Developed answer: «Teenagers should exercise regularly because physical activity helps them maintain a healthy body and reduce stress. For example, they can spend at least 30 minutes jogging or playing sports several times a week. As a result, they can improve their physical and mental well-being.» 🗣️ Useful sentence starters To give a point: «One effective way is to…» To explain: «This is because…» To give an example: «For instance,…» To explain the effect: «As a result,…» ⭐ REMEMBER: Don't just state your idea — develop it! Point + Why + Example + Effect = Stronger Speaking Answer 🎤

Haii guys 🫶🏻 Hope this helps you guy's. How to easily remember was / were so you don't forget in the exam: 1. Remember the friends of was: I, He, She, It, 1 person. All the single ones use was. Example: _I was, Ali was, The cat was._ 2. Remember the friends of were: You, We, They, Many people. All the groups use were. Example: _You were, We were, They were, Ali and Abu were._ 3. The easiest trick: Look at the subject at the front of the sentence. If there is the word and (My brother and I, Anna and Sarah, My parents) it automatically means many people = were 4. Don't get confused with You: Even though You` can be just one person, in English it always uses were, not was. This is where most people make a mistake Rule mudah: was = untuk I, He, She, It, 1 orang / 1 haiwan / 1 benda were = untuk You, We, They, ramai orang 1. I was at the shopping centre yesterday morning. 2. My brother and I were at the cinema last night. 3. She was at the zoo on Saturday. 4. They were at the park this afternoon. 5. You were at school yesterday. 6. The weather was sunny yesterday afternoon. 7. We were at home all day on Sunday. 8. Tom was at the playground after school. 9. Anna and Sarah were at the library two days ago. 10. The dog was in the garden this morning. 11. My parents were at the restaurant last night. 12. It was very noisy at the circus. 13. hello everyone, it's dyna! sorry for disappearing for quite a long time. 🙏🏼 anyway, here's a bit of quick info on how to improve your grammar skills. how to use "who" and "whom" in a sentence? - first thing first, everybody should know that ➡️ "who" is used when the person is the subject of the verb : "who ate the last piece of pizza?" meanwhile ➡️ "whom" is used when the person is the object of the verb/preposition : "whom did you invite?" it can be a little confusing to use these, and i myself sometimes make the same mistakes too so don't be ashamed! practice makes perfect 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
