AI MEETUP | IS TECHNOLOGY ADVANCING THAT FAST, OR ARE WE JUST GETTING BETTER AT MAKING IT LOOK THAT WAY?
Tesla’s Flying Car: Is it really a flying car, or are we just redefining what flying means?
As technology pushes the boundaries of what seems possible, it’s worth asking: Are we witnessing genuine breakthroughs, or has the way we present technology changed how we perceive progress?
Join us to explore the gap between technological progress and perception.

Hello AI, Enthusiasts! Question of the Day!
Are AI agents over-engineered for most real-world use cases?

We had a really good conversation at the Gheero office yesterday.
The 10 Academy and Gheero teams came together for an open discussion around an important question:
What conversations about AI do we actually need to be having in Ethiopia?
We talked about what we’re seeing around us, what’s missing, where things are heading, and how we can be more intentional about the role AI plays in our lives, our work, and our future.
AI is moving fast. The question is, are we having the right conversations about it?
We’re excited about what we’re planning next for the AI & ML community. Something special is on the way.
Stay tuned.

Hello Everyone, Question of the Day!
What caught your attention this month?

How Fast Is Too Fast for AI?
What if AI is advancing faster than our ability to understand and control it?
This Wednesday, we’ll explore this question, inspired by researcher Jacob Coxon’s warnings and Anthropic’s approach to building increasingly capable AI with safeguards.
We’ll look at the technical side too, from AI alignment and mechanistic interpretability to autonomous agents and containment, and discuss what these ideas could mean beyond the technology itself.
Anyone interested in AI, technology, or curious about where this is heading, come join us.

Registration for the AI Re-Entry Workshop is now closed!
A big thank you to everyone who registered and shared their interest in joining us. We’ve been excited to see the response and the curiosity around this conversation.
We’ll now be reviewing the registrations and sending invitations to selected participants via email in three hours.
If you didn’t make it into this workshop, don’t worry. This is just the beginning. We’ll continue creating spaces like this in the future so more people can join the conversation, meet others, and explore new ways of thinking about AI, work, and technology.
Thank you for being part of the community. We hope to see you at a future session!

Join the Hackathon This Weekend, Where Thinking Is the Prototype
Building on our two AI Re-Entry School of Thought seminars, we’re bringing the conversation into a hands-on, two-day workshop where ideas get tested through real activities and challenges.
You’ll work through situations that ask you to slow down, challenge an easy answer, look at information from different angles, and figure out what deserves your attention. You’ll also get to see how other people approach the same challenge and discuss what worked, what didn’t, and why.
The workshop is designed around productive friction. Instead of rushing toward the first answer, we’ll create space for trial, second thoughts, disagreement, and reflection. The goal is to explore how these habits can shape the way you work, lead, learn, and make decisions with AI in a world filled with instant, confident answers.
This is not a coding class or a technical hackathon. It is an open, interactive space for professionals, and curious minds from every field to rethink how we question, connect, trust, and decide alongside technology.
