Unity of Fields: How can people embrace, celebrate & support Luigi's political violence (which was also a good thing) but not support Elias Rodriguez, whose action is far more politically salient - killing two diplomats of the genocidal zionazi govt in support of Palestinian national liberation?
Rodriguez will receive far less support & sensationalism than Luigi bc his politics aren't as ambiguous & easily translated into white populism. Killing zionazi diplomats is unambiguously anti-imperialist & answers the calls from the Palestinian resistance to escalate & besiege the embassies.
Imposing real costs on the people committing a genocide is the floor, not the ceiling. Instead of criticizing "ultra left adventurism" criticize the opportunism endemic to the US Left that obstructs & defangs all attempts to organize the real desire for a more militant movement.

International Coordinator of @Samidoun_Network Charlotte Kates:
Urging everyone to avoid speculation about "false flags" whenever an incident occurs that people find inconvenient for media. People are watching a genocide being committed in their name and with their $ for 20+ months & basic actions of "legal" protest are being criminalized.
It should surprise literally no one at all that people will act when there is no accountability whatsoever imposed upon that genocidal regime, and instead it is showered with even more weaponry to use on Palestinians. 2 Palestinians being martyred gets almost 0 attention.
Whether it's graffiti that people find "hard to justify" or "not the right slogan," or property damage that people think "undermines our media work," or even speeches that make people uncomfy, the inevitable parade of fedjacketing & "false flag" statements on social media begin.
Genocide has to have consequences, and if there are no consequences imposed, and if having a protest gets you in jail, and speaking for the prisoners gets you labeled a terrorist, it's only logical that people will find alternative means of imposing consequences.
The criminalization is ALREADY happening. The silencing is ALREADY happening. It's not starting now. So the challenge for all of us is to fight back and to end the genocide, and to impose meaningful consequences on the enemy with our movement. And yes, to globalize the intifada.

Repost from The Cradle
❗️Two Israeli embassy staff were shot dead outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington. The suspect, Elias Rodriguez, 30, shouted "Free Palestine" during his arrest and had no prior police record, according to authorities.

Good Shepherd's Collective:
There is a genre of activism exclusively focused on criticizing the Israeli government and its policies. This liberal praxis, most often associated with brand building, deserves further discussion.
Numerous established Palestinian institutions already effectively tabulate and disseminate ground-level data. Not only can the content can become redundant, but it also diverts resources from more transformative interventions.
This hyperfocus on presenting data and details or being the first to discuss it obscures the reality that “information” alone isn’t inherently liberatory. We need to do more than regurgitate each other's content.
Predominant personalities focus on repeating existing analysis of colonial mechanisms, or the most aggressive iterations of zionism, while avoiding essential conversations on movement tactics, strategy, or the liberal zionist formations that move freely in organizing spaces.
Why critique Peter Beinhardt when you’re hoping to be platformed by Jewish Currents and their broader ecosystem—Jstreet, IfNotNow, and JVP?
This choice, regularly made by Palestinian NGOs and organizers, values a broad audience at the expense of substantive political discourse.
For many, criticizing the broader NGO-dominated movement means being cut off from valuable distribution networks, such as webinars, social media shares, and invitations to conferences and seminars. In their brand-building calculus, this isn’t worth the risk.
This intentional refusal to address internal dynamics buries a fundamental contradiction: despite unprecedented public support for Palestinian rights, tangible political gains remain elusive. This paradox necessitates a rigorous analysis of our shared strategies and tactics.
Conversations must be had around organizations’ and activists’ investments in the Democratic party, which capture resources, redirect popular support away from decolonial and anti-capitalist praxis, and silence critiques of supporting a party which has long maintained genocide.
We need discussions on how this relates to counter-insurgency measures deployed against more principled factions within movements of liberation. Genuine solidarity with Palestinians demands sustained critical dialogue regarding strategies and comprehensive visions of liberation.

Repost from Resistance News Network
🚨 The treacherous Palestinian Authority decided to cut the salaries of prisoners and freed prisoners based on "security reasons". It is worth noting that many current and former prisoners have spent years in the occupation prisons and are suffering from serious health conditions that require constant medical treatment.
Previously, PA President Mahmoud Abbas issued a decree canceling the stipends to families of martyrs, prisoners, and the wounded. This came only a few weeks after the PA Security Forces' military campaign in the northern West Bank against the resistance, tied to $680 million of aid from the United States in exchange for fighting the resistance in Jenin.
Below are the reactions to this act of treachery, including from the fired former head of the Palestinian Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Commission, Qadura Fares.
Qadura Fares:
"The non-payment of salaries to 1,612 prisoners is a violation of the Palestinian people’s legacy of struggle, and a breach of the traditions, customs, and systems that the national movement has upheld for over 60 years.
This direction is inconsistent with the Palestinian people’s path of resistance, which is based on a commitment to the families of prisoners, the wounded, and the martyrs.
For the families of martyrs, prisoners, and the wounded to live in poverty is a disgrace to all Palestinians.
Responsibility falls on the Palestinian factions, organized groups, and the families of martyrs and prisoners to act and push to stop and cancel this decision."
Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative, Mustafa Barghouti:
“The prisoners are among those who have sacrificed the most, alongside the martyrs. Their rights must be preserved in a way that upholds their dignity and protects their families. We call for the disbursement of prisoners’ allowances in full, to everyone, without discrimination.”
🔴 Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine:
"Cutting prisoners’ salaries based on security recommendations is a national crime and a stab in the back of the Palestinian struggle. We condemn this dangerous decision taken by the Palestinian Authority through the “Tamkeen” Foundation.
This decision represents a blatant submission to "israeli" and American conditions and dictates.
We affirm that turning the prisoners’ cause into a humanitarian or social aid file—measured by calorie intake as indicated in humiliating application forms—is a direct insult to the sacrifices of the prisoners. These forms reveal a mindset that turns its back on the prisoners and aligns with security coordination agreements, far removed from any national or revolutionary affiliation.
We hold the Palestinian Authority and the “Tamkeen” Foundation fully responsible for this humiliating and unjust policy against the prisoners and their families. We call for its immediate reversal and demand the payment of salaries to released prisoners without any conditions or restrictions, as this is a legitimate right that must not be subject to blackmail or political or security classification.
We call on our people and all active forces to raise their voices loudly in rejection of this dangerous approach, and to reaffirm the status of the prisoners as a symbol of resilience and resistance—not as a social burden to be discarded.
Glory to the prisoners and the released, shame and disgrace to those who undermine their dignity and rights, and victory to our people and their valiant resistance."

Repost from Eye On Palestine
Columbia University admin once again called on the NYPD to help suppress the student movement on their campus. Columbia students earlier yesterday established the Basel Al-Araj Popular University formerly known as Butler library as a liberated zone, continuing their demands for the institution to disclose and divest along with their denunciation of the US-Israeli genocide on Gaza. Police quickly arrived, many in riot gear and kettled the student activists, many instances of police brutally assaulting the students followed. Over 75 students were arrested or detained and led to the awaiting police vans. The confrontations and violence of the NYPD continued with protesters outside the campus who came to support the students.

Understand: the sharpening of repression is only a distraction from the genocide. Know: Retreating into the institution is not safety. Refusal to act is not safety. Sitting quietly for your finals is not safety. These betrayals will not save you from imperial violence.
These refusals mean giving yourself to the institution, to the state, to the empire. It teaches them that you are a human being willing to be subdued, able to be bribed into silence, complacent when made to be a cog in the war machine. We all have agency. And we can refuse.
So refuse! refuse participation, refuse labor, refuse silence, refuse consent to slaughter, refuse to allow your education to serve capitalism. Refuse loudly, refuse boldly, embody your refusal in your praxis, make it visible, make it unavoidable!
We continue to struggle today because we remember what Basel taught us: “Basel did not call on us to be resistance fighters. Nor did he call on us to be revolutionaries. Basel told us to be true, that is all. If you are true, you will be revolutionaries and resistance fighters.”
Follow the lead of the Palestinian people & remember that we are capable of bringing down tanks with the smallest stone. Remember, we're capable of building a liberated world as large as we allow ourselves to imagine. And we have a duty to dream bigger than petitions and rallies.
It is our duty to rise to this moment, for the people of Gaza. It is our duty to escalate. It is our duty to be brave. We have nothing to lose but our chains!
