Abdul El-Sayed:
I'd rather my tax dollars not get spent to take away some people's self-determination that could be used to empower other folks here. That's not about hating anybody. I'm grateful to have grown up in a community where I got so much exposure and empowerment from the Jewish community. I'm so grateful. Judaism and the Jewish people are a light unto the world. Incredible contributions to our society, our culture, a beautiful faith that rhymes with so much of my own. Insofar as there are disagreements about foreign policy, my hope is that folks understand where those disagreements align and also understand that that does not come at the cost of Jewish safety.

Bill Gates accused AI leaders of privately knowing their technology is dangerous while publicly downplaying it to protect fundraising:
In private, people who understand how good this stuff is, and how much better it's getting, they're very worried.
They're now saying to each other: 'Hey, man, don't say that. It's bad for us, the next trillion dollars we're trying to raise.' Gates said the industry has blown past its own red lines on bioweapons, cyberattacks, emotional dependency, job displacement, and loss of control: We're in the process of crossing every single one of those thresholds. He now puts AI-enabled bioterrorism at roughly 50 times the risk of a natural pandemic. On jobs: There isn't a job that isn't affected. He expects humans to end up "vastly inferior to the AI doing the job" in most occupations. You can't count on an industry to self-regulate. It's kind of a crazy idea.👍✍️

Dubai's airport saw passenger traffic drop 31% in the first half of 2026 to 31.5 million, down from 46 million, after Iran War triggered closures, cancellations, and airspace restrictions across the Gulf.
March was the low point with a 65% year-on-year drop. Only about 50 of the usual 90 international airlines were operating by mid-year. The airport had been on track for 100 million passengers after a record 95.2 million in 2025. Source: Reuters

Russia's new jet-powered Shahed drones fly at 300 mph, three times faster than the classic propeller version, and they exist because of Chinese engines.
Ukrainian wreckage analysis traces the turbojets to Shenzhen-based Telefly Telecommunications Equipment. After Ukraine publicized the link, Telefly removed the turbojet section from its English website. It remained on Chinese-language pages. The jet variants are a serious problem because Ukraine intercepts over 90% of the slow propeller Shaheds with cheap drones. The jet versions outrun those interceptors and require scarce missiles or fighter jets to stop. Chinese-origin parts now make up roughly 60-65% of recovered Shaheds. Beijing maintains it does not send "lethal weapons," classifying the components as dual-use. Some engines were shipped disguised as industrial refrigeration units. Source: WSJ

A Chinese startup unveiled a personal flying platform you ride standing up, like a hoverboard with four ducted fans.
No seat, no cockpit, no pilot license required. The CoolFly Urban carries up to 90 kg, flies at 70 km/h, and stays airborne for 11 minutes. An AI balance system adjusts thrust as you lean, similar to a self-balancing scooter. The company says most people learn to fly it in about 10 minutes.👏🔥

🇮🇱 Netanyahu on settlements:
The reality is changing before our eyes. Yesterday I was together with the Defense Minister and the Cabinet Secretary, and the first thing I wanted to see was a map. When I see the map and see points, points, points, points, points, I know that we are not only securing our existence in the present; we are securing the existence of the Jewish people in the future. 160 outposts, 104 communities that we established and legalized.Netanyahu on the Uganda Plan:
Herzl proposed the Uganda Plan because, like a true prophet of our generation, he understood what was going to happen in Europe. In Uganda, we could never have forged the passion of our people, the vision of generations, and the great aspiration to return to Zion and the Land of Israel.Netanyahu
Today, many of our brothers and sisters around the world understand: this is our land, and there is no other. And when I say "our land" — every Jew, every Jewish woman — the door is open. We are waiting for you in the State of Israel, in the heart of the Land of Israel, and you are preparing the ground for a very great wave of aliyah that will come.
I told Trump: one possibility, of course, is that you reach an agreement with Iran — a good agreement. We have no objection to that. I just doubt whether you can make an agreement with that group there, with those savages. I tell you, you cannot make an agreement with them.
And I told Trump there is also a third possibility: to tighten the siege. Yesterday, he reaffirmed that decision in a very, very, very strong way. What President Trump did yesterday was tighten the siege on Iran — not by tightening the siege on Iran itself, but by tightening the siege on those who help this regime, this terrible dictatorship.
I want to tell you: we still have challenges ahead of us. The challenge of Iran has not ended. We also have to finish the challenge in Gaza, in Lebanon, and in other arenas, and we are determined to do it.

🇮🇱 Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli:
Palestinian national identity doesn’t really exist if you take away from the Palestinians the struggle against Zionism and Israel. They have no identity at all. I always tell them: you have nothing, you have no identity. We don’t need the Palestinians to define ourselves. We have enough heritage, history, and content even without that.
What do we do with the Palestinians? Let’s start by defining it as an enemy. Because the moment you don’t know how to say that you have an enemy, you start confusing yourself. First of all, you have to understand what this thing called an enemy actually is.
We allow the Arab population to study at universities, build lives, and build communities. We are so generous and so good-hearted. I think we have a great deal to be proud of in terms of the kind of people we are.

🇭🇹⚡️- On August 23rd, the Viv Ansanm gang coalition launched a barbaric assault on farmers and civilians right outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in the middle of the night— torching homes, killing livestock, and abducting dozens of individuals.
The death count from the attack is either 25 or 47, as local officials are claiming 25 and international agencies have claimed 47, with 52 people kidnapped. It was also stated that 22 people were reportedly executed on a church compound where they sought refuge from the attacks.

🇨🇩🇷🇼⚡- Situation in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC:
M23-allied groups continue to expand south in the Baraka direction, effectively surrounding the Uvira-Sange front. Uvira now relies almost entirely on Burundian supply routes.
M23 controls 19,700 sqkm of territory in the North and South Kivu regions - an incredible 80% of Rwanda's land area.
Note, in the north, Uganda's military presence in eastern DRC is shown on the map, which has prevented M23 operations towards Butembo.

⚡🇺🇸 According to Pentagon data, the number of reports of sexual harassment involving service members in combat zones doubled last year, while the overall number of reports across the entire military decreased slightly.
Among US service members stationed in various countries, Poland had twice as many reported assault cases as any other country, according to the Pentagon's annual report on sexual harassment in the military, released on Friday with data for fiscal year 2025. Alongside a small overall decline and a significant rise in incidents in combat zones, the report includes estimates from a workplace survey indicating that official Defense Department records reflect only about one-third of actual sexual harassment cases. Across the military as a whole, there were 7,998 reports of sexual harassment involving service members, a 2% decrease from the previous year. In combat zones, service members reported 246 cases of sexual assault, an increase of 120 cases from 2024. The number of cases in 2025 nearly matches the 247 cases recorded in 2023, which, according to the report, was the highest number of reported assaults among deployed service members in the past decade. Of the reported assault cases in 2025, more than a quarter came from units stationed in Poland, where approximately 10,000 US service members are believed to be located. US troops have been regularly deployed to Poland since 2022 as part of ongoing NATO rotations in Eastern Europe. Service members in Poland reported 73 cases of sexual assault, more than double the number of assaults recorded in the next most frequent locations – Kuwait (30) and Qatar (24).✍️
