— A Day to Fast Tomorrow — The meaning of the Tarwiyah sunnah fast is the fast performed on the 8th of Dhul Hijjah, which falls on 5th June 2025. The Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wassalam) said about the virtues of fasting on the day of Tarwiyah: ((صَوْمُ يَوْمِ التّرْوِيَةِ ... كََّارَةُ سَنَةٍ, وَصْمُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةً ... كََّارَةُ سَنتَيْنِ)) narrated by Abu Al-Sheikh in Al-Thawab and Ibn Al-Najjar from Ibn Abbas radhiyallahu anhu). It means: Fasting on the day of Tarwiyah (can be) an atonement for sins (for) one year, and fasting on the day of 'Arafah(can be) an atonement for sins (for) two years". {HR. Abu Sheikh and Ibn Najjar from the companions of Ibn Abbas}. In the book: "Tafsirur Rõzî" it is explained: عَنْ أَنَسٍ— كَانَ يُقَالُ فِي أَيَّامِ العَشْرِ : كُلُّ يَوْمٍ بِأَلْفٍ , وَيَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ بِعَشَرَةِ آلَافٍ Meaning: From Anas’s (radhiyallahu anhu) companion, he said about the reward that will be obtained (by someone) when fasting on the first 10 days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah: "Each day will be rewarded (as the reward) for fasting (for) a thousand days, and fasting on the day of 'Arafah, (then) the reward is as the reward for fasting (for) ten thousand days". {Tafsirur Rözī}.
An example of reciting the intention of sunnah fasting on the day of Tarwiyah (8th of Dhul-Hijjah): It means: "I intend to fast for tomorrow, in order to fulfill the sunnah fast on the day of tarwiyah, solely because of faith and hoping for a reward (from) Allah".

Anas ibn Malik w said, "The Prophets used to often say these words, عَلَى دِينِكَ يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي 'O You Who changes the hearts, make my heart firm on Your religion. We said, 'O Allah's Messenger! We believed in you and in what you brought us. Are you afraid for us?" He d said, نَعَمْ، إِنَّ الْقُلُوبَ بَيْنَ إِصْبَعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ اللهِ تَعَالَى يُقَلَّبُهَا 'Yes, for the hearts are between two of Allah's Fingers, He changes them as He wills. [al-Tirmidhi]

Speak with kindness, for your words may have a lasting impact on others. Choose words wisely, for they can either mend hearts or break them. People's words affect you only as much as you let them.

If Allah loves you, no one will love you more than Him. If He gives to you, no one can give you a gift more generous than His. And if He is angry with you, no one can protect you from Him.

🕋 The first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are special, more than we often realize. Allah swore by them in the Qur'an, and the Prophet said there are no days where good deeds are more beloved to Allah than these. That means every prayer, every fast, every quiet dhikr, it all means more right now. Even if you're not going for Hajj, you still have a chance to draw closer to Allah. These days are a gift. A chance to reset. To give, to pray, to return. Don't overthink it, just start. Before they slip away.
