🗳 🇵🇸 🇮🇱 Benny Gantz’ party submits bill to dissolve “Israeli” parliament, hold early elections 🔶️ The National Unity party, which the “Israeli” war cabinet member Benny Gantz is a member of, has said that it submitted a bill to dissolve the Knesset and called for early elections. 🔶️ The Likud Party of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed the call as unnecessarily disharmonious and damaging to the war effort. 🔶️ “In the midst of a war, Israel needs unity, not division. The dissolution of the unity government is a reward for [Hamas leader Yahya] Sinwar, a surrender to international pressures and a fatal blow to the efforts to free our abductees,” the Likud said in a statement – cited by “The Times of Israel”. 🔶️ The decision comes as “Israeli” war cabinet has been facing growing tensions since Oct. 7, 2023; particularly between Gantz and Netanyahu on various topics, mainly the lack of a “day-after” plan for the Gaza Strip, in addition to disagreements on engaging Hezbollah on the northern front. https://en.royanews.tv/news/51690/2024-05-30

"The Great Replacement in Florida" Before the passage of the 1965 immigration act the White share of the population of Florida was increasing. Whites had risen substantially from 72% of Florida's population in 1940 to a peak share of 82.1% by 1960 as Whites flooded into the state and a population boom began. Then, with the passage of several immigration related bills, Reagan's amnesty, and the general promotion of immigration, the trends reversed. As of 2020 White Floridians have fallen to just 51.5% of their state's population. The foreign-born population exceeds 22%, and nearly 90% of these immigrants are non-White. Still, Florida could change its policies and cease welcoming hundreds of thousands of new foreigners each year. Through a coordinated and state implemented program of policy changes Florida's Whites could increase to a 63% share of the state's population once again. 🐣 🇩🇪 🇪🇺 How the far right is winning over young Europeans 🔶️ German youths are increasingly worried about the economy and immigration. 🗳 Such a trend will loom large over the European parliament elections, where many young people will vote for the first time. Current polling suggests up to a quarter of seats in the new legislature will go to the populist right, up from a fifth in 2019. 💉 The shift to the right was clearly visible in the latest instalment of an annual survey of German youth. It was a snapshot of a generation that was badly shaken by the Covid-19 pandemic, with its lockdowns and school closures, and was then forced to wrestle with the shockwaves of war in Ukraine, inflation and the continuing climate crisis. 📊 The survey also shows that for young people, worries about climate change have been supplanted by more bread-and-butter concerns — the dire shortage of affordable housing, the fragility of Germany’s pension system and fears of poverty in old age. 🇪🇺 From Spain and Italy in the south to Romania in the east, rightwing parties are benefiting from this new mood of gloom. In Romania, 25 per cent of 18 to 35-year-olds who intend to vote say they will support the far-right Alliance for the Union of Romanians, a higher proportion than for any other party. AUR wants to unite all Romanian speakers — for instance those in Moldova — into a Greater Romania. It is critical of Bucharest’s military support for Ukraine and rails against “gender ideology” and atheism. 🔶️ Russ, the youth-wing leader, says Germans are plagued by a “lack of identity”. “People have become a kind of empty shell, they no longer see themselves as part of something larger, as part of the German Volk, and that’s a really big problem,” he says. 🇩🇪 Krah has a video on TikTok, entitled “Our ancestors weren’t criminals”, that makes precisely this point. “We have every reason to be proud of our country and the people who built it up,” he says into the camera. 📎 Financial Times

🇷🇺 🇰🇵 🇺🇸 Russia is stepping up to the plate to rhetorically defend North Korea, it's new-found strategic friend. - Derek Grossman 🔶️ Washington and Seoul defended their joint military drills as crucial for maintaining security in East Asia, pushing back against Russia's criticism of the exercises in support of North Korea. - Christy Lee 🔶️ Lavrov said the drills are aggravating the security situation of the Asia-Pacific region "to the point of its transition to a hot phase." 🔶️ He made the remark at a Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting held in Astana, Kazakhstan, on May 20, according to Russia news agency TASS. 🔶️ Lavrov's remarks came as Moscow deepens its ties with Pyongyang and Beijing, its two partners that the U.S. says are supporting Russia's war in Ukraine. 🔶️ U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Pyongyang has been engaged in arms transactions with Moscow while China provides "overwhelming support to Russia's defense industrial base." https://www.voanews.com/a/7630556.html

🇨🇳🇺🇸🇹🇼 The Americans continue to feed Taiwan promises of imminent deliveries of advanced weapons. This time, the visiting Republican Michael McCaul stated that the delayed deliveries of American weapons "are progressing", hinting at their imminent arrival. 📌 It is officially unknown how much weaponry has not reached the island. The Cato Institute think tank reports that the sum of the stuck deliveries is approximately $19.1 billion. Some orders have been "hanging" for about 10 years. The main reasons for the current situation are supply chain problems, the pandemic, and the Ukrainian conflict. ▪️ But McCaul's statements are most likely an exaggeration. During his visit in 2023, he said roughly the same things, but there were no significant changes in weapons deliveries. ▪️ Of course, there is now a chance for improvement, but given the ongoing conflicts in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, it still remains minimal. 🔻 The amusing part here is that today McCaul called on the island's authorities to increase the military budget. This, in his opinion, is necessary to protect Taiwan from aggression by China. After increasing the defense budget, it seems that new orders for American weapons are expected. And the main thing here is to get the money for them. And the issue of the lengthy delay in weapons deliveries can be dealt with later. #China #USA #Taiwan @rybar together with @awaken_dragon Support us Original msg

🛤 🇺🇦 🇷🇺 The construction of an 80km railroad in Donetsk Oblast, approximately initiated around June 2023, aimed to establish a direct link between occupied southern Ukraine and the rest of Russia as a partial alternative to the Crimean Bridge. | Tatarigami UA 🔶️ "According to Mariupol mayoral advisor Petro Andriushchenko's statement on May 8th, operations are expected to commence by late May or early June. Additionally, in April and early May, three test trains traveled from Volnovakha in Donetsk Oblast to Mariupol's port and back." 🔶️ "Based on mid-resolution imagery, it's evident that on May 24th, at least one train was traveling on the new railroad. With the aid of satellite imagery captured with a time gap, we confirmed that the train was in motion and not static." 🔶️ "The current resolution does not allow us to determine whether it was another "test" train or if it's a train involved in railroad construction. However, based on other high-resolution imagery, we assume that this is the very final stage before its launch." 🔶️ "Our team assesses that this new railroad would suffice to supply the region even if the Crimean Bridge is destroyed. Additionally, the railroad reduces travel time from Russia. 📝SIDENOTE: This is huge because it underscores a major aspect of the instability within the Somalian government. First and foremost we have to take into consideration Al-Shabab and their role in this. Al-Shabab has weakened the Somalian government and has brought it to the brink of a civil war due to the territory it controls and the campaigns that it engages in. Secondly, the IS has used this instability to garner sympathizers within the mountainous regions of Somalia and used it as a new base of operations after claiming the Bari Mountains. But what’s truly remarkable is that Al-Shabab hasn’t launched an attack on the capital, in the capital, or promoted lone wolf attacks against military personell in Mogadishu. Yet the IS has managed to hit the capital of Somalia. This shows that the ambition of the Somalian Wilayah still is there and it’s seeking ultimate victory. Lastly this underscores a fundamental point, the Somalian Wilayah is growing and recruiting more people. If they didn’t have the manpower then they wouldn’t have dared to send any militants to attack the capital of the country, where it’s more likely they’d get lynched or shot. @saheliananalyst

🏹 💥 Traditional cannon-based mass fires, are still the best solution in an EW environment. 🔶️ “Following decades of investments across the US military in precision capabilities, the claim that simpler weapons may be the best for the modern battlefield raises larger questions about whether the Army has been putting billions over billions of dollars down the wrong hole.” 🔶️ “Williams himself called precision weapons “essential,” but cautioned that they cannot “supplant the indispensable volume of… unguided cannon fire,” on the battlefield.” 🔶️ “Although Williams did not disclose which precision munitions are experiencing higher failure rates, there have been multiple reports of Russian forces jamming or spoofing munitions that rely on GPS.” 🔶️ “Lessons learned from the Ukraine conflict absolutely have applicability elsewhere. But when the distances get longer, the need for higher-end weapons become unavoidable.” 🔶️ “In an EW environment like Ukraine, this essentially means the military cannot rely on having precision weapons.” 🔶️ “But out here, just like in Europe, you also need another set of equipment and types of munitions that are precision in nature, you know, GMLRS, ATACMS and… long-range precision fires.” 🔶️ “I think that there will be a need for precision guided munitions: I think there will be the need for conventional munitions,” he added. “And just like always in war, you know, you’re gonna have way more of the conventional stuff than you have the precision stuff.” https://breakingdefense.com/2024/05/taking-aim-army-leaders-ponder-mix-of-precision-munitions-vs-conventional

🇺🇸 🇨🇳 🇹🇼 China's recent military exercises surrounding Taiwan "looked like a rehearsal" for an invasion, U.S. Indo-Pacific Commander Samuel Paparo told Nikkei. 🗳 The large-scale exercises took place just after new Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te took office. The drills are a part of China's pressure campaign to bring the island under its control as Beijing regards Lai as a troublemaker. 🏗 Asked about the possibility of China invading Taiwan, Paparo stressed, "What matters is [China's] own assessments," warning that Beijing continues to "build capability at an alarming rate." 💥 If shooting did break out in the region, Paparo said he is confident the U.S. and its allies and partners would "prevail in a conflict." 🇯🇵 The U.S. has been promoting "integrated deterrence" with these allies and partners. Calling the U.S.-Japan alliance "the most important alliance on the planet," Paparo touted the countries' joint operational capability. "Japanese units are within the formation, and are nearly indistinguishable in how we share, track and [in] our ability to operate tactically," he said. 🇵🇭 As for the tensions in the South China Sea, where Chinese ships have repeatedly harassed Philippine ships, Paparo said, "We're monitoring the situation, and we stand ready to come to the aid of our treaty ally, the Philippines." He added that the Netherlands, Italy and Germany will enhance deterrence in the South China Sea through efforts such as dispatching vessels. 🇰🇵 Elsewhere in the Indo-Pacific region, North Korea attempted to launch a rocket carrying a military reconnaissance satellite on Monday. Although the attempt failed, the threat to the security of Japan and the United States has been increasing. ⚡️ "The lessons of the last five years have shown that we're living in an increasingly chaotic and disordered world," Paparo said. https://asia.nikkei.com/Editor-s-Picks/Interview/China-s-drills-appear-to-be-rehearsal-for-Taiwan-invasion-U.S.-admiral https://archive.ph/RGODo

From a total dependence on Russian gas, today we buy natural gas from several sources, including the US. We are building power lines to connect us to the European grid, and one of them is funded by the US Agency for International Development, and we are investing in renewables. Our goal is to overcome Moldova's vulnerability in this field, to have stable, accessible and sustainable sources of electricity.

For more details on the impact and deeper assessment, refer to our latest report on our website." https://frontelligence.substack.com/p/new-railroad-branch-improving-russian 📎 Tatarigami_UA

Taiwan's Divine Winds: China's strike window is now or never

The Pentagon's 2024 China Report isn’t out yet, but the 2023 Report took pains to go over how much better the Chinese were becoming in skill and quality while doubling down on quantity, too. The 2023 report revealed exercises in 2022 were the first time the Chinese were able to move whole Army Groups by amphibious transport.
