Automatic Logout: Logging into a new device automatically logs out the previous one. Mandatory Revalidation: All BVN/NIN details must be electronically revalidated. Device Switching Verification: Switching devices requires additional authentication. 24-Hour Watchlist: Suspicious BVNs will be placed on a 24-hour monitoring list. Account Freezing: Banks can temporarily freeze accounts linked to flagged BVNs. Single Phone Number Change: Customers can only change their BVN-linked phone number once. Strict Age Limit: BVN enrolment is restricted to individuals aged 18 and above. Transaction Cap: Transactions on new devices are limited to in the first 24 hours. SIM-Swap Fraud Focus: Rules aim to stop unauthorized access via SIM-swapping.
