An inquest heard that 18-year-old Cai Rhys Davies from Llantrisant, Wales, became the victim of a sextortion scam run by a criminal network based in Ivory Coast. Scammers posing as a young woman convinced him to send intimate images before demanding money and threatening to send them to his family and friends and publish them on YouTube. Hours later, Cai attempted suicide and died four days later in the hospital from a hypoxic brain injury. Police traced the fake account to Ivory Coast, describing it as part of a large-scale operation, but said no suspects could be identified for prosecution. The coroner concluded that becoming the victim of the sextortion scam more than minimally contributed to his death and called for greater public awareness of sextortion scams. 🄳🄾🄾🄼🄿🤖🅂🅃🄸🄽🄶

David Bier David_J_Bier, Director of Immigration Studies at the Cato Institute, is going viral on Bluesky for defending members of a trans death cult accused of the m—rder of a Border Patrol agent. Bier frames a new court allegation filing by the defense as proof DHS lied to justify a traffic stop over immigration. The filing was written by the defense attorney for trans murder suspect Teresa "Milo" Youngblut, who was traveling with a German fellow trans cult member. Bier presents the case as overzealous immigration enforcement causing a deadly shooting, but he conveniently leaves out that the stop was part of an ongoing surveillance operation into members of the Zizians, a trans cult tied to at least eight deaths. The subjects were traveling with weapons, tactical gear, night vision equipment, ballistic helmets, and Faraday-caged phones. A witness at a motel contacted police over their suspicious behavior. The post has been met with widespread defense of the Zizians on Bluesky, with liberals citing it as an example of Trump "fascism" and Border Patrol "Gestapo tactics."
