Allāh ﷻ said:
وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ“And his (Abu Lahab's) wife, the carrier of firewood.” [سورة المسد:٤] Qatādah, Mujāhid, and As-Suddi all said:
كَانَتْ تَمْشِي بِالنَّمِيمَةِ وَتَنْقُلُ الْحَدِيثَ فَتُلْقِي الْعَدَاوَةَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ، وَتُوقِدُ نَارَهَا كَمَا تُوقَدُ النَّارُ بِالْحَطَب“She used to go about engaging in gossip and transmitting reports, thereby sowing enmity among people. She would kindle its fire as one kindles a physical fire with wood.”

The Messenger ﷺ said:
The strong person is not the one who can physically overpower others, rather the strong person is the one who can control himself when he becomes angry.[

What are you afraid of losing when nothing in this world is really yours?
– You cling to outcomes as if you control them.
– You worry about people as if you own their hearts.
– You run after life as if it can’t be taken in a moment.
Allaah ﷻ has already mentioned:
لله ما في السماوات وما في الارض“To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth.” [سورة البقرة ٢٨٤] Read it again!!! Everything you call ‘mine’ is only on loan. Your parents. Your spouse. Your children. Your wealth. Your health. Your time. Duniya becomes heavy when you hold borrowed things like they’re permanent. So whatever is troubling you right now, Take a deep breath! It’s just Duniya.

Allah does not close a door except that He opens for you a better one
but He tests you with the bitterness of closure
so that you may taste the sweetness of opening.

Allah commands in Surah al Nur:
قُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and to guard their private parts.” [Ayāh:30] In one of his writings, Ibn Rajab wrote: “Someone asked al Junayd about what can help someone to lower their gaze. He replied, Knowing that Allah is already looking at you before you looking at whatever you are looking at.”

The ‘clean’ person does not find rest in what is haram. He may fall, he may weaken, but his heart remains reproaching him, feeling distressed, living in confusion and dispersal until he returns.
Allah loves His good servants, so if He loves a servant, He alerts him. He may test him, He may narrow his worldly life upon him, not out of hatred but mercy, until he returns to the right path.
And the most beautiful part is that no matter how far a person goes, the door of return is always open for the one who sincerely wants Allah.

Wuhayb ibn al-Wird رحمه الله said:
It’s said that wisdom is ten parts. Nine are silence, and the tenth is being alone.[

The only way to stop any pain in your life is to accept the fact that nothing is yours, nothing was yours, and nothing will ever be yours.
They are worldly attachments; given by Allah, belonging to Allah and returning back to Allah.

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه اللّٰه said: "As for those who killed Hussain ibn ali رضي الله عنه or assisted in that act or were pleased with it, may the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people be upon them. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala won't accept any deed or righteous act from these people." [Majmu' al-Fatawa 4/487]

Muhammad ibn Shihab az Zuhri was traveling and still fasted on the Day of Ashura, so it was said to him, “You fast on the Day of Ashura while traveling, but you break your fast in Ramadan?”
He replied, “Ramadan fasts can be made up on other days, but the Day of Ashura will pass you by (i.e., it is not legislated to make it up later).”

Prophet ﷺ was asked about fasting on the day of Ashura (10th of Muharram), whereupon be said:
“It expiates the sins of the preceding year."
[Muslim 1162]

If you want your heart to be at ease and your mind to be tranquil, then hold firmly to two things: 1. Strive to remain close to your Lord, the One in whose Hand your affairs lie, and who has nurtured you with His blessings, by performing acts of obedience and staying away from what He has forbidden. 2. Reduce your greed for this worldly life, your attachment to it, and your intense desire for it. For no heart becomes constricted and no worries become overwhelming except through distancing oneself from Allah and becoming attached to the dunya.

When The Heart Is Agitated
Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim A-Jawzeeyah [رحمه الله] said:
«إذا اضطرب القلب وقلق فليس له ما يطمئن به سوى ذكر الله.»
When the heart is agitated and has anxiety then there is nothing that will make it tranquil other than the Dhikr [remembrance] of Allaah.
[Madarij As-Salikeen, (3/72)]1 255
On the authority of ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAbbās, may Allah be pleased with them both, who said:
“When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fasted on the Day of ʿĀshūrāʾ and commanded that it be fasted, they said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, it is a day that the Jews and the Christians venerate.’ So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘If the coming year arrives, if Allah wills, we shall fast the ninth day.’
Ibn ʿAbbās said: ‘But the coming year did not arrive before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away.’”

Rasoolullah ﷺ said : Fasting on the Day of 'Arafah, I hope from Allah, will expiate the sins of the year before it and the year after it. And fasting on the Day of 'Ashura, I hope from Allah, will expiate the sins of the year before it.

Beware of Innovations (Bidʿah) in ʿĀshūrāʾ
Two misguided groups went astray on this day:
One group imitated the Jews and made it a festival of joy, beautifying, wearing kohl, and cooking special dishes.
Another group made it a day of mourning over the killing of al-Ḥusayn (may Allah be pleased with him), beating themselves, crying, and spreading false tales, thus combining ignorance, innovation, and division.
But *Ahl al-Sunnah remained firm, fasting as commanded by the Prophet ﷺ, avoiding innovation, and rejecting both excesses* .
Many acts are done by some ignorant people which have no evidence from the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
These acts include:
• Celebrating this day as a festival.
• Slapping one's face.
• Tearing one's clothes.
• Using swords and blood-shedding.
Indeed, none of these acts have any authentic relevance to ʿĀshūrāʾ. Rather, they are pure innovations and evil deeds. The enemies of Islam use them to misrepresent Islam.
No acts of worship are authentically established for ʿĀshūrāʾ except fasting.
There is no sound evidence for special night prayers, kohl, perfume, bathing, giving gifts, extra spending on the family, or any other special rituals connected to this day.
All acts of worship are based on proof.
So fast this day with sincerity, revive the Sunnah, and stay far from innovation.
May Allah make us of those who preserve His sacred limits and follow His Messenger ﷺ in truth.
O Allah, grant us sincerity, protect us from innovation, and make us among those whose sins are forgiven by fasting this blessed day.

Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
« لا تكره شيئًا اختاره الله، قد يختار الله شيئًا فيه مصلحة عظيمة لا تدري عنها أنت » "Do not dislike something that Allah has chosen. Allah may choose something that contains great benefit, of which you are unaware."

"Thus, if you notice that every time you recite the Quran, your Imaan increases, then this is a sign of guidance."
