اَلسَّـــــلامُ عَلَــيــْكُمْ وَرَحْمَـــةُاللهِ وَبَرَكَــاتُهُ 🌸 أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ 🌸 THE BEST WAY OF SEEKING ISTIGHFAR 🎗️Istighfar - 3 رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ Rabbanā ẓalamnā anfusanā wa il-lam taghfir lanā wa tarḥamnā la-nakūnanna minal-khāsīrīn. Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be amongst the losers. (7:23) 🎗️Istighfar - 4 أَنْتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۖ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْغَافِرِينَ Anta Walliyyunā fa-ghfir lanā war-ḥamnā wa Anta khayrul-ghāfirīn. You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy upon us. You are the best of those who forgive. (7:155) 🎗️Istighfar - 5 رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ Rabbanā in-nanā āmannā fa-ghfir lanā dhunūbanā wa qinā ʿadhāba-n-nār. Our Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. (3:16) 🎗️Istighfar - 6 رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ Rabbi-ghfir wa-rḥam wa Anta khayru-r-rāḥimīn. My Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the Best of those who are merciful. (23:118) 🎗️Istighfar - 7 رَبِّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۖ وَإِلَّا تَغْفِرْ لِي وَتَرْحَمْنِي أَكُنْ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ Rabbi innī aʿūdhu bika an as’alaka mā laysa lī bihī ʿilm, wa il-lā taghfir lī wa tarḥamnī aku-m-mina-l-khāsīrīn. My Lord, I seek Your protection from asking You anything about which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me, I shall be amongst the losers. (11:47) 🎗️Istighfar - 8 رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ Rabbana-ghfir lanā wa li-ikhwānina-l-ladhīna sabaqūnā bil-īmān, wa lā tajʿal fī qulūbinā ghilla-l-lil-ladhīna āmanū Rabbanā innaka Ra’ūfu-r-Raḥīm. Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith. Do not put in our hearts any hatred toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful. ⛱️ ﷽ ⛱️ ✨ Repentance and Hope ✨ In the last week’s post, we read that one's hope in Allah should not diminish due to the gravity of their mistakes. Instead, one should sincerely repent and trust in Allah's Mercy. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that Allah is as merciful as we expect Him to be. Ibn ‘Ataa’ adds that if one’s hope decreases after a mistake, it indicates reliance on their deeds rather than on Allah’s Mercy. This idea is reinforced by a hadith where the Prophet states that no one can enter Paradise based solely on their deeds, not even the Prophet himself, without Allah’s Forgiveness and Mercy. Post #9 🌻 In this hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says: “There is none whose deeds alone would entitle him to get into Paradise.” Does this mean that we lose hope in God’s Mercy? Of course not. What is meant is not to rely on our deeds and to put our trust on the Godly Mercy. This is the same message that Ibn Ataa’ conveyed in his words of wisdom. But so much hope should not turn into a feeling of immunity, that is to feel immune and saved from God’s punishment, whatever you do. {And they say, “The fire will most certainly not touch us for more than a limited number of days}. (Al-Baqarah 2: 8) The verse was revealed regarding some of the previous nations who had a belief that they are God’s chosen people, regardless of their actions and regardless of whatever they do in this life. Nowadays, some Muslims think that as long as they are Muslims, they can do whatever they want and they will not be harmed. Allah says: {But none feels secure from God’s deep devising save people who are lost}. (Al-Araf 7: 99).
