I returned from Mauritius a few weeks ago. I went there to teach. I came back with something I am still processing. Over the next 5 days, I’m going to share with you what I saw, what I learned, and a decision I’m making because of it. There is a lot I want to tell you over the next few days. But for now, I wanted you to know that something very special is around the corner. It has to do with how this work reaches the people who need it most. ARE WE ON THE VERGE OF A GLOBAL VICTORY? (MAURITIUS REFLECTIONS) 1400 years ago, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ told his Companions that his religion would reach every corner of the globe. And today, there are Muslims in Mauritius, in Argentina, in Mexico, in Siberia, in Australia, in Belgium, in Sweden--all over the world! The prediction of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ has literally come true. But there’s something very strange in the way that it has come true. The reason why there are Muslims everywhere in the world is because the Muslim ummah is weak. So Muslims are no longer seen as a threat. So countries all over the world open their doors to Muslims. This is a victory for Islam. And I believe that because of this victory, we are on the verge of another victory. That is what I spoke about in my first khutba in Mauritius. I was very happy to deliver an Arabic-language lecture to students and staff at Kevseriyye Eğitim Merkezi, popularly known as المعهد الكوثرية, named after the late Shaykh Muhammad Zahid al-Kawthari, may Allah Most High have mercy on him. I explained the origins of modern atheism and how to use the science of kalam to refute it. The audience was highly-engaged and asked excellent questions. May Allah Most High bless the students and staff at the institute and give them every tawfiq.
