| 2 | WEAK COMMUNICATION SYSTEM IN GES ON NATIONWIDE DIRECTIVES
The only authority that can issue a nationwide directive in GES is Headquarters, Accra. Not Region, not District.
This promotion / upgrading issue has exposed how weak GES communication is. HQ issues a directive, and a district officer somewhere says we should ignore it. Who does that in the 21st century?
Regions and Districts are to IMPLEMENT, not to COUNTER Headquarters. GES must fix its communication system.

Examination Structure and Format
The aptitude test will consist of one hundred (100) questions to be completed within two (2) hours.

| 18 | FWSC Engages Organised Labour on Transition to Independent Public Emoluments Commission
The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) will meet with Organised Labour to begin consultations on the establishment of the Independent Public Emoluments Commission (IPEC), a new body expected to replace FWSC.
The engagement, scheduled for August 13 and 14, 2026, at the Lancaster Hotel, Accra, will start at 9am each day. It is being organised by the FWSC in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment and the Ministry of Finance.
The engagement aims to brief Organised Labour about the establishment of IPEC and to solicit their input in shaping a fair, transparent, and fiscally sustainable public sector pay system that protects the interests of workers while maintaining fiscal discipline.
Stakeholder Participation
More than 50 labour organisations have been invited to participate in the engagement. These include the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), Teachers and Educational Workersβ Union (TEWU), Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), Ghana Medical Association (GMA), and the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG), among others from the health, education, security services, and State-Owned Enterprises. | 572 |

| 20 | Your Average of Best 3 Years will be:
(GHΒ’96,000 + GHΒ’108,000 + GHΒ’120,000) Γ· 3
= GHΒ’108,000 per year
That GHΒ’108,000 becomes the salary base for calculating your annual pension.
Now, assuming you contributed for 25 years, your Pension Right is 48.75%.
If you retire at age 60, your Age Reduction Factor is 1.
Your estimated annual pension is
GHΒ’108,000 Γ 48.75% Γ 1
= GHΒ’52,650 per year
To know how much you will receive every month as pension, it is
GHΒ’52,650 Γ· 12
= GHΒ’4,387.50 per month
Simple koraa. π
This is why, as an employee, you should not only be interested in the amount that hits your bank account at the end of the month when you're young and fit.
You should also know the salary your employer is declaring to SSNIT on your behalf.
You may be earning GHΒ’15,000 a month, but if your employer is paying SSNIT contributions based on a much lower salary say GHΒ’6,000 , that can affect the pension you receive when you retire.
So once in a while, check your SSNIT statement and contribution history.
