SUMMONS TO APPEAR BEFORE THE COMMISSION RE: NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PROCEED ON STRIKE We refer to a correspondence dated 10th April, 2024 filed by the FORUM for Public Sector Associations and Unions served on the Commission and the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations. In the correspondence under reference, the FORUM has served notice of intention to embark on a Nationwide strike from 2nd May, 2024, if by 30th April, 2024 issues relating to the implementation of pensions for Public Sector workers are not resolved In response to the Notice, the National Labour Commission, in exercise of its powers under section 139 of the Labour Act, (2003), Act 651, writes to summon the parties to appear before the Commission on Wednesday, 24th April, 2024 at 11:00 am for a hearing of the issues in dispute. The FORUM for Public Sector Associations and Unions is hereby advised to stay any and/or all intended action(s) and appear as scheduled.
