Narrated by ibn al-ʿAbbās رضي الله عنه:
While I was standing amongst the people who were invoking Allāh for ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb who was lying (dead) on his bed, a man behind me rested his elbows on my shoulder and said,
"(O ʿUmar!) May Allāh bestow His Mercy on you. I always hoped that Allāh will keep you with your two companions, for I often heard Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "I, Abū Bakr and ʿʿUmar were (somewhere). I, Abū Bakr and ʿʿUmar did (something). I, Abū Bakr and ʿUmar set out.' So I hoped that Allāh will keep you with both of them."
I turned back to see that the speaker was ʿAlī ibn ʾAbī Ṭālib.

ربنا هب لنا من أزواجنا وذرياتنا قرة أعين واجعلنا للمتقين إماما
Rabbanā hab lanā min azwājinā waḏurriyyātinā qurrata aʿyunin wa-jaʿalnā lilmuttaqīna imāmā
Our Lord, give us joy in our spouses and offspring. Make us good examples to those who are aware of You.

Righteousness is not in turning your faces towards the east or the west. Rather, the righteous are those who believe in Allāh, the Last Day, the angels, the Books, and the prophets; who give charity out of their cherished wealth to relatives, orphans, the poor, needy travellers, beggars, and for freeing captives; who establish prayer, pay zakah, and keep the pledges they make; and who are patient in times of suffering, adversity, and in the heat of battle. It is they who are true in faith, and it is they who are mindful of Allāh.

The golden advice of Umar ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him)
“There’s nothing more sufficient than when someone disobeys Allah in dealing with you, you do nothing but obey Allah in dealing with him. Place the affairs of your brother when they reach you upon the best of interpretations until there comes to you clarity which overcomes that. Do not think ill of a statement which comes from another Muslim if you can find a good interpretation for it. Whoever exposes himself to suspicion let him not blame those who then think badly of him, and whoever conceals his secrets, strength of choice will be in his hands.
Hold fast to truthful companions, live with them closely for they are a charm at times of ease and an aid at times of difficulty. Stick to the truth even if the truth kills you, and do not involve yourself with issues thatdon’t concern you. Do not ask about things which haven’t taken place for indeed, that which has already taken place is enough to preoccupy you from it! Do not seek help or take your affairs to someonewho doesn’t wish to see you succeed, and do not befriend the sinful lest you learn from his sins and evil. Keep away from your enemy and be cautious of even your friend, except for the truthful and trusted friend. And no-one is trustworthy except him who fears Allah.
Humble yourself at the graves, lower yourself in obedience and stand firm against disobedience. And when it comes to your affairs, seek counsel only from those who truly fear Allah for indeed, Allah says,
إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ
“…Indeed, it is only those who have knowledge among His Slaves, that truly fear Allah.” [Sūrah al-Fatir, Verse 28]

Narrated by Asmāʾ رضي الله عنها that Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said,
"Give (in charity) and do not give reluctantly lest Allāh should give you in a limited amount; and do not withhold your money lest Allāh should withhold it from you."

Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, thus stated:
“I am near to the thought of My servant as he thinks about Me, and I am with him as he remembers Me. And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My Heart, and if he remembers Me in assembly I remember him in assembly, better than his (remembrance), and if he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by the cubit, and if he draws near Me by the cubit I draw near him by the space (covered by) two hands. And if he walks towards Me, I rush towards him.”

It was narrated from ʾUmm Salamah رضي الله عنها that when the Prophet ﷺ performed the Subh prayer (Fajr), while he said the Salām, he would say:
“O Allāh, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision and acceptable deeds.”

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the day and night there are signs for people of reason. They are those who remember Allāh while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth and pray, “Our Lord! You have not created all of this without purpose. Glory be to You! Protect us from the torment of the Fire."

Rabbi j'ʿalnī muqīma-ṣalati wamin dhurriyyatī rabbanā wataqabbal duʿāʾ
My Lord! Make me and those believers of my descendants keep up prayer. Our Lord! Accept my prayers.
ربنا اغفر لي ولوالدي وللمؤمنين يوم يقوم الحساب
Rabbanā igh’fir lī waliwālidayaa walil-muʾminīna yawma yaqūmul ḥisāb
Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day when the judgment will come to pass.

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لاَمَّةٍ
ʾAʿūḏu bikalimāti-llāhi-tāmmahmin kulli shayṭānin wahāmmah, wa min kulli ʿayinin lāmmah
O Allāh! I seek Refuge with Your Perfect Words
from every devil and from poisonous pests and
from every evil, harmful, envious eye.

اللّهُـمَّ اجْعَلنـي مِنَ التَّـوّابينَ وَاجْعَـلْني مِنَ المتَطَهّـرين
Allāhumma j`alnī minat-tawwābīna waj`alnī minal-mutaṭahhirīn.
O Allāh, make me among those who turn to You in repentance, and make me among those who are purified.
