In a long-term dump trend, market makers (MMs) want to unwind their high-price short-leverage positions. They use market (taker) orders to push the price up quickly.
When the price pumps, their Long Stop-Limit orders get triggered and they let them fill until the entire batch is executed.
Once filled, they start closing those newly triggered long positions, causing the price to dump again. At that point, liquidity is nearly drained, leaving no strength for further downward moves.
Naturally, the next broader trend remains bearish.
After the dump, price often returns to the MAX PAIN zone (in Smart Money Concepts, this is typically the FVG zone) because retail Short Limit orders (filled when MMs closed their longs) are continually getting closed
That’s where you can often find high-probability opportunities
This is the true nature of Price Action, reading the behavior of price, not guessing candles

Bitcoin is forming a potential short-term recovery structure after testing the lower demand zone. If price holds above the 95k region, I expect a gradual push upward with several corrective swings along the way
The first upside target is around 98,600–98,700, followed by a deeper pullback and another attempt toward 99,700. After another correction back to the 97,700 area, BTC may build momentum for a stronger breakout
If this entire structure plays out, the final objective is a move toward the major resistance around 100,485, with the possibility of an extended rally above the 100k mark

However, the White House warned that October employment and inflation data may never be released due to the shutdown lasting more than six weeks. One wallet withdrew $3 million from OKX and then opened a series of large-scale Long $POPCAT positions on Hyperliquid across 19 different wallets. As a result, these positions were liquidated for a total of about $30 million, resulting in a loss of $3 million to the attacker
However, due to the way the platform works, Hyperliquid's HLP Vault inherited these Long positions. As the price of $POPCAT continued to fall, the exchange incurred an estimated loss of $4.9 million
