| 2 |  What’s better: holding through a loss or closing a losing position?‼️
A losing position almost always creates the same dilemma:
Take the loss now — or wait for the price to come back?
There is no universal answer like “you should always cut losing trades” or “good assets should simply be held until they recover.”
For a systematic investor, the more important question is:
Is the original thesis behind the position still valid?
🔥 If the thesis hasn’t changed, a temporary loss alone is not necessarily a reason to close the position. The market can move against you for some time — that’s a normal part of any system.
But if the conditions behind your original decision have changed, simply waiting for the price to recover is not a strategy either.
That’s where one of the most common psychological traps appears:
“I won’t close it until I at least get back to breakeven.”
❗️The market doesn’t care where you bought.
Capital sitting in a losing position is still your capital.
So the real question shouldn’t be:
“How do I win this trade back?”
It should be:
“Where does this capital have the highest expected value right now?”
In systematic investing, the goal is not to avoid every single loss. That’s impossible.
The goal is to build a system where one losing position cannot determine the outcome of your entire portfolio.
Because our job is not to be right every time.
Our job is to make consistent decisions, protect capital, manage risk, and judge the results over a long enough time horizon.

| 3 |  💰 Over the past two months, $CRV has finally managed to break above $0.29. Now it’s approaching a much “heavier” opponent — the $0.40 level.
And that’s where things could get really interesting.
🍿 From there, we see two scenarios:
📉 Either #CRVUSDT gets a fairly deep correction into the $0.21–0.23 area,
🤩 or buyers manage to push through $0.40, after which the move could start turning almost vertical and the price may begin cracking levels one after another on the way toward $1.
📈 For now, there’s not much point in guessing which scenario the market will choose. First, we need to see how price behaves around $0.40 🐻

| 4 |  One Hundred Short Trades or One Mid-Term Trade?
Imagine an investor with a $1,000 account.
Let’s take a trading system with a 3:1 profit-to-loss ratio, but with 70% of trades being losing trades.
‼️ (With this kind of risk-to-reward ratio, it is quite common to have more losing trades than profitable ones.)
One profitable trade adds 3% to the account. One losing trade takes away 1% from the account. On average, 2 trades per day.
If we do the math, over a series of 100 trades (50 days), this kind of system can generate approximately +20% on the account ✔️
Trading every day. It creates the feeling that you are moving with the market, keeping your finger on the pulse, living alongside it...
It feels like your capital is constantly working.
But the price of this approach is your time 🕞
You have to constantly monitor the market, look for new entry points, determine exits, manage open positions, and make new decisions after every closed trade.
Now consider a different situation.
One mid-term position generated the same +20%.
But over several weeks or months, it may not show the result you expect at all. The price may move sideways, temporarily move against your position, or take a long time to develop the scenario you are waiting for.
And that’s normal.
You are trading some of the speed of the result for time.
That is why mid-term investing is particularly interesting for someone for whom crypto is only a part of their capital, not their main job.
You don’t need to capture every market move.
And not every opportunity requires your constant presence.
One hundred short trades can produce the same result as one mid-term position.
So the question is not only how much you made.

📈 Since then, the rally has basically never stopped. Sure, $LINKUSDT hasn’t delivered any crazy multiples yet, but it looks like the $15 level may be getting close. And from our area of interest, that’s neither more nor less than a simple 2x. 😉
We know many #Chainlink holders would like to see the price much higher. And that’s absolutely possible.
🔼 Our previous scenario for a move toward $22 remains fully valid. As always, these things just need time and patience.

In the stock market, major downturns happen relatively rarely. In crypto, over the past decade, investors have already witnessed several major crashes, with Bitcoin losing more than 70% of its value in some cycles. For example, after the 2017 peak, BTC fell by approximately 83%; after the 2021 peak, by approximately 77%; and the decline from the 2025 high to the 2026 low has already exceeded 50%.
So the phrase
“10 years in crypto is equivalent to 50 years of experience in the stock market”
is, of course, a joke. But there is some truth behind it.
The crypto market forces investors to move through different phases much faster: euphoria, overheating, a crash, fear, recovery, and another period of growth.
And that is exactly why it is especially important to understand where we are within the cycle.
Imagine an investor who bought Bitcoin at the November 2021 peak — at approximately $69,000.
After that, they experienced a nearly 77% decline, several years of recovery, and only then new all-time highs. Today, Bitcoin is trading above $80,000, meaning that position is nominally in profit.
‼️ But after almost five years, the result is nowhere near proportional to the level of risk and volatility the investor had to endure.
And this is where the key conclusion emerges.
In crypto, it is not enough to enter at the right time. It is equally important to understand when the risk within the cycle becomes disproportionately high.
That is why at PS Trade, we think not in terms of individual trades, but in terms of cycles.
And those who learn to recognize the different phases of a cycle gain much more than just a price forecast.
They gain context for making decisions.

| 12 |  💸 $ZEC has almost reached its 8-year-old ATH, successfully completing another part of the forecast series we've shared for #ZECUSDT. 😉
And now there's another interesting catalyst.
On August 25, 2026, trading began on NYSE Arca for The Zcash ETF — $ZCSH, a Grayscale Investments product designed to provide investors with spot exposure to Zcash (ZEC).
Grayscale had previously stated that it intended to direct up to 100% of management fees toward the development of the #Zcash ecosystem.
So what are we missing now?
🔼 Just one more little push. We'd like to see $ZEC finally print a new ATH — ideally somewhere around $940–950.
🔽 And after that... perhaps it's time for a well-deserved correction.
Maybe even toward $380. 😏
📈 We know that sounds almost ridiculous with the current "to the moon" sentiment, but that's what the #ZECUSD chart suggests to us.
Especially considering that historically, both 💰 $BTC and 💰 $ETH experienced fairly significant corrections after their ETF launches.
So first: one more ATH.
Then we'll see how deep the hangover gets. 👀

Is this a mistake, or is it actually part of an investment strategy?
There’s a misconception that investors often mistake for inaction: if you didn’t buy, you missed an opportunity.
In reality, sometimes ‼️ the best decision is to do nothing.
Take a look at BTC’s latest movement. Before the strong upward surge, the market had been in a narrow consolidation phase for a long time. The strong downtrend and complete market inactivity didn’t provide enough evidence to support either a continuation of the decline or a sharp rally.
Our main message was:
1️⃣ In this trading situation, we’re not making any decisions
2️⃣ If the market surges upward, we’ll sell a portion and prepare for a new wave of decline
3️⃣ If the market initiates a new downward momentum, we’ll buy more crypto.
Yes, the cost of this decision was unrealized potential profit. However, if the market had crashed just as aggressively and we had bought in during the consolidation phase, our thoughts would have boiled down to a single question: “How do we save ourselves?”
And as a result, instead of buying in at a great price, we would have been left holding crypto we’d bought at a high price.
Missing one wave isn’t the same as missing an opportunity.
Especially if that wave marks the beginning of a broader trend.
After a strong growth surge, we’re already in a different situation than before it. If the market corrects and creates clearer entry conditions, the decision to buy will be more well-founded.

| 16 | 💰 Congratulations to everyone who actually waited for the first wave of growth in $BTC and a large part of the altcoin market. 😏
But now it's time to pay a little more attention. The $77,500–78,000 zone is sitting above on the #BTCUSDT chart.
Whether you close your positions or keep holding is an individual decision, but this is definitely a level where we'd become more cautious and avoid getting carried away by the euphoria.
Especially with USDT.D approaching 7% — a level we've previously marked as a potential area for a short-term bounce.
From below, we'd ideally like to see $BTC retest the trendline it broke through so dynamically.
🆗 And there we'll once again find the familiar $69K–71K zone, with the critical $68K level just below it.
For us, holding $68K remains important if buyers want to keep the current bullish move alive.

| 18 |  ‼️ How can you make discipline prevail over emotions?
You can’t.
If you have to make a decision at a moment when you’re already overcome by fear or greed, discipline goes out the window. 🚬
That’s why a systematic investor builds a system in which it’s harder for emotions to influence decisions.
For example, decisions are made before strong emotions set in:
1️⃣ define entry conditions;
2️⃣ determine the percentage of capital to allocate;
3️⃣ outline scenarios;
4️⃣ decide in advance what to do if the market moves against us;
5️⃣ set aside a portion of capital for future decisions.
That way, when the market experiences a sharp move, you won’t have to start from scratch.
✔️ The plan is already in place.
And here’s an important principle:
Discipline isn’t the ability to always control your emotions.
It’s the ability to structure the process so that emotions can’t easily sway your decision.
That’s exactly why you need to make decisions before strong emotions kick in.
Because when Bitcoin drops 20% and you’re already facing a large, unexpected potential loss, it’s a bit difficult to convince yourself to “stay disciplined.”
Discipline doesn’t begin when the drop happens.
It begins the moment you decide what level of risk you’re willing to accept before it happens. | 196 |

What followed?
A sharp rally → retest → and then consolidation above the breakout zone.

| 20 |  We've already written quite a lot about the role and use of defensive assets in our recent — and also much older — ideas on gold $XAU.
🥈 Silver $XAG is also traditionally considered a defensive asset, and looking at the #XAGUSDT.P chart, we believe it is currently going through a correction after another powerful, almost parabolic rally.
For some historical context, the major silver price peaks were:
• January 1980 — $48
• April 2011 — $50
• January 2026 — $122
We've already discussed what was happening in the global economy and financial markets during those periods, but we'd also love to hear your take in the comments 👨💻
🏆🏆 And here's what we find particularly interesting.
Looking at the long-term #XAGUSD chart from the 1932 lows to today, there appears to be an interesting pattern: correction and consolidation periods are becoming shorter with each cycle, while the subsequent rallies are becoming increasingly parabolic.
📉 So our current base scenario is that this correction/consolidation shouldn't last much longer than mid-2027, with a potential downside target around $37.5–38.
And after that...
📈 God willing, we'll still be around to see $XAG somewhere near $900. 😏
