Be ready with a clear introduction covering your academics, interests, achievements, extracurriculars, and why you want to pursue management after Class 12.
✅ 2. Prepare Smartly for the Micro Presentation (MP)

Practice speaking clearly and confidently within the time limit.
✅ 3. Be Ready for Follow-up Questions
Interviewers may ask questions based on your Micro Presentation, academics, hobbies, opinions, or anything mentioned during the interaction.
✅ 4. Prepare for the Personal Interview (PI)
The PI generally evaluates your:
• Communication skills

• Clarity of thought & personality
✅ 5. Don’t Ignore Extracurriculars

AMBIGUOUS vs AMBIVALENT
📍 AMBIGUOUS = unclear, can be interpreted in multiple ways
→ about the THING/SITUATION
→ "The CEO's statement was ambiguous — nobody knew what she meant."
📍 AMBIVALENT = having mixed feelings about something
→ about the PERSON'S feelings
→ "She was ambivalent about the merger — excited and worried at once."
The killer test:
→ AMBIGUOUS = the THING is unclear
→ AMBIVALENT = YOU are conflicted
When IPMAT asks "what was the author's stance?" — if you see "ambivalent" in the answer choices, it means the AUTHOR had mixed feelings. If you see "ambiguous" — it means the author's MESSAGE was unclear.
Two completely different tone-question answers.

The trap most IPMAT students fall for: thinking "quotidian" is neutral. It's NOT. The author who uses this word is usually being mildly critical or sad about routine.

The conversation Indian families need to have.
"Beta, ₹35 lakh bahut zyada hai..." — let's actually do the math📊
5-YEAR TOTAL COST:
→ IIM Indore IPM → ~₹35 L
→ IIM Rohtak IPM → ~₹22 L
→ IIM Jammu → ~₹17 L
→ IIM Bodh Gaya → ~₹16 L
Now compare with the "safer" B.Com + MBA route:
→ Good BBA/B.Com (3 yrs) → ₹8-15 L
→ Good MBA (2 yrs) → ₹20-30 L
→ Total → ~₹35 L+
SAME COST. But the B.Com path comes with:
❌ 2 separate entrance exams
❌ A 2.5 lakh-applicant fight at CAT
❌ No guarantee of getting into a top MBA

These two words look like twins. They're NOT.
TENACIOUS vs STUBBORN
Both mean "refusing to give up."
But one's a compliment. The other's an insult.
📍 TENACIOUS = persistent in a GOOD way
→ "She was tenacious in her IPMAT prep — 6 months, no breaks."
→ Implies grit, focus, determination
→ Author tone in RC: ADMIRING
📍 STUBBORN = persistent in a BAD way
→ "He was too stubborn to admit his strategy wasn't working."
→ Implies inflexibility, refusal to learn
→ Author tone in RC: CRITICAL
The trick:
TENACIOUS = persistent + adaptable
STUBBORN = persistent + rigid
This distinction shows up in EVERY IPMAT RC about leadership, business, or character. Picking the wrong word in the tone question = -4 marks.
