Your bot hit +2% Take Profit. You're still down in dollars. That's what BTC pairs can do to you. On a stablecoin pair like ETH/USDT, +2% TP means +2% in dollars. One thing moves: the coin you're buying. The math is honest. On a BTC pair, two things move. Your alt can rise while Bitcoin drops harder, and your dollar PnL goes red even though the bot logged a "win." Same trap on Averaging Orders. The bot calculates everything against the quote currency, and on BTC pairs that quote is itself a moving asset. BTC pairs still make sense when you're betting an alt will outperform Bitcoin, or hedging exposure instead of chasing dollar gains.
