🎃 Where Halloween meets Christmas. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). Before CGI became the norm, an entire world was brought to life, one frame at a time.
Directed by Henry Selick and born from the imagination of Tim Burton, The Nightmare Before Christmas took roughly three years to create. Over 100 artists and technicians worked across nearly 20 sound stages, building 230 miniature sets and hundreds of handmade puppets.
At 24 frames per second, every tiny movement had to be carefully adjusted and photographed. A single minute of finished animation could take an entire week to shoot.
The result? Over 100,000 individual frames of painstaking craftsmanship that transformed stop-motion animation into something truly magical.
