‎The ninth day, the Day of Arafah, is a day when tears are shed. ‎A great day; this is a day to reflect on yourself. ‎Repent to Allaah Almighty and renew your repentance. ‎Increase in seeking forgiveness from Allaah Almighty. ‎Remember your sins and weep over your mistakes. ‎Feel deep remorse for what you have done. ‎Resolve to abandon sin and increase in obedience. ‎The second important act of remembrance on the Day of Arafah ‎is remembering Allaah Almighty. ‎The Prophet (Salla-Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: ‎“The best thing that I and the prophets before me have said on this day is: لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير La ilaha ill Allaahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer. ‎‘There is no one worthy of worship except Allaah Alone, with no partner. To Him belongs all dominion and all praise, and He has power over all things.’” ‎So increase in saying “La ilaha illa Allah,” for it is among the greatest words spoken by the Prophets of Allaah. ‎As our Prophet (Salla-Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) said. ‎Increase in glorifying Allaah, proclaiming His Oneness, and praising Him. ‎And be grateful to Allaah Almighty. ‎Increase in reciting His words, Glorified and Exalted be He.
