I am sorry for teaching wrongly, the correct answer to this question is , you cannot determine if the object is accelerating or decelerating , because the initial velocity of object is not given, if lets say the initial velocity was -3ms-1, or in words 3 meters per second to the left(assuming right as positive and left as negative) then it would be deceleration because acceleration works like a push force. lets say u are moving to the right with speed of 2ms-1 and if your acceleration is 2 ms-2, then its acceleration because the push direction and the direction of your initial motion is same, but if lets say the u are moving left with the speed of 2ms-1 and if your acceleration is 2 ms-2, then its deceleration because the push direction and the direction of your initial motion is not same, so to determine if an object is accelerating or decelerating, we have a formula av>0 means acceleration or av<0 means deceleration, where a is acceleration and v is velocity. Saya minta maaf kerana sebelum ini tersilap mengajar. Jawapan yang betul untuk soalan ini ialah: kita tidak boleh tentukan sama ada objek itu sedang memecut atau mengalami nyahpecutan kerana halaju awal objek tidak diberikan.
