CBI has registered an FIR against 7 accused, including 6 individuals and the US-based The Timothy Initiative (TTI), over violations of the FCRA involving foreign funds worth approximately Rs 92.55 crore.
The accused have been identified as Jonathan S Rajan, Micah Mark, Ajit Verghese Mathal, Bablu Kurmi, Supreme Joy, Varghese Chacko, The Timothy Initiative, USA, and unknown persons.
The accused entered into a criminal conspiracy with TTI and coordinated the withdrawal of foreign funds through various ATMs across India using foreign debit cards issued by Truist Bank, USA.
Rs 92.55 crore was withdrawn in contravention of FCRA provisions between November 2025 and April 2026. Around Rs 44 crore was withdrawn using foreign debit cards across multiple states, including Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Assam, between January 2024 and March 2026.
More than 1,000 debit cards were distributed in India over the past few years. After the search proceedings, TTI's global portal became inaccessible in India and data maintained on the cloud and seized laptop was deleted remotely.

ATS ARRESTS 19yo IN AQIS MODULE
♦️UP ATS +TN ATS, arrested 19yo. Maksood Ali from Coimbatore; a Siddharthnagar native.
♦️He is the 2nd accused after Mohammad Nabeel’s Sept 12 arrest.
♦️Online Network: Ali spread extremist content through WhatsApp groups including “UU Entry Gate”, “United Ummah”, “Gazwa-e-Hind”, “Team Black Hat” and “Lashkar-e-Mehndi” linked to Porkistani numbers/hackers.
♦️Recruitment: Ali and associates recruited youth through WhatsApp to become “mujahids”, including weapons training and fundraising, with Indian and foreign members in the network.
♦️Tech Role: Ali learned Python, Java, coding and hacking online and developed “CAPTAIN M NETWORK” to connect Nabeel and others.
♦️Plans also involved secure messaging/hacking tools and communication with Porkistani hackers.
♦️AQIS Material: Ali was also part of Nabeel’s “La Ghalib–Illallah” group, where AQIS-linked literature and bomb-making technique were shared.
