Hey everyone, following up previous post, since there was a lot of questions, I've made a youtube video of what happened, explaining in detail:
HOW I LOST 70K USD (0.85 BTC BITCOIN) DUE TO ELECTRUM RBF SECURITY FAIL - Don't let it happen to you
Link to previous Reddit post:
Lost 70k USD (0.85BTC) due to Electrum RBF security breach. I'm devastated and don't know how to move forward : r/Bitcoin
If 1 person is spared from this, I will be happy enough.
Thanks for the support.

How is no one talking about the massive withdrawals Binance is about to have if / when they open back up withdrawals
Articles are mentioning that they were able to stop half of the attack, or that they have the funds to cover the losses, I personally am curious do they have the funds to cover the vast amount of people that now don’t feel safe storing crypto with them? They have had issues in the past if you have been in crypto long enough you know that they have frozen withdrawals due to runs on the exchange. This event is singular will be on a massive scale. If you have money stored with them I highly suggest you withdrawal as soon as it opens before the rush comes in.

77k is this the magic number to go all-in and wait 3 years?
Converting cash back to crypto after selling after the last ATH.
Is it even possible to fail just go all in at 77k? And then turn off the news for three years?

I pay $1,200 tax I live in the United Arab Emirates and I mine btc, and I pay $1,200 in taxes monthly because daily mining amounts to $210. But I have a question: is there a country where you don't pay taxes on mining?

Between Binance, Coldcard and Ledger… I’m happy holding IBIT
Not your keys, not your coins?
After the Coldcard and Ledger security scares, and now the Binance incident, I’m starting to think the biggest risk isn’t holding Bitcoin through an ETF… it’s thinking your cold wallet makes you invincible.
I’ll happily let BlackRock worry about custody while I sleep peacefully holding IBIT.
Maybe I’m not a real Bitcoiner, but at least I’m sleeping well.

The Opportunity Cost of BTC
As someone who has been regularly DCA'ing into BTC religiously over the past 3–4 years, I'm starting to question whether this is something I'll continue doing, especially as other ETFs and investment narratives begin to demonstrate stronger returns.
When you zoom out and look at the 5-year chart, BTC has appreciated by just 25.35% over that period. While I don't think anyone is expecting the explosive gains of years past, I think some serious questions need to start being asked.
Given the risk associated (not to mention recent data breaches) with the asset, BTC appears to be underperforming vs more diversified, lower-risk ETFs. At what point do we start questioning whether the risk-to-reward proposition still makes sense? I know this'll get the standard, let me buy your BTC then bro etc...but when you look at the numbers, is it the asset it once was?
